Nice teacher
I like the class and Ava enjoys the things we do in class. The instructor also comes over and helps with showing the swimming skills which is awesome. Everyone enjoys the time in the pool.
Love the strength room and the equipment. It would be nice if all variations of bands were left in the strength room and not locked away in the auxiliary room.
I appreciate the swimming pool when laps are available. I don't appreciate that the hours have been set back so that swimming is not open for a couple hours after 1 in the afternoon. I was told that it becomes available when school is out. There are many of us that are not of school age and the extra time would provide potential time to swim in a less crowded time.
The pool and the pool staff!!!
It has open swim an gym during the hours that fits your schedule
All of it
I used the tread mill. I met a friend over lunch and we exercised and talked.
Love body pump! And body pump classes at midday. I am not an early morning person and can never make the 5am-7am classes but the Monday and Friday bodypumps work great for my schedule. Keep them coming.
Group classes, instructors are great
The pool
I wanted to share how much I loved using the downtown pool over winter break. My usual Y’s pool was closed. Lifeguards John and Caydan were super helpful and kind to my kids. We swam many days and both guards were professional and helpful, including locating lost goggles of my youngest son. Please tell them thank you and how much I appreciated their kindness over winter break. Plus, they were attentive to their patrons! One of my lifeguards at my usual Y is on her phone constantly, so it was refreshing to see guards who care about the swimmers. Thank you John and Caydan!
Have not taken any programs or activities, just go for the workout.
All the equipment is fairly new and well maintained the space is set up nicely, there is usually plenty of equipment to work out. Lots of bathrooms and changing room space and clean.
Al Herick recognized me, after me being 20 years away from the downtown YMCA.
Mr. Herick and fellow runners (me included) used to use the DT YMCA as our noontime
start line for our lunchtime jog thru the downtown area.
Now, at 72, I only run away from my wife (pun intended)!
The best thing about having an old man at the DT YMCA?
He is not at home bothering his wife.
Keep up the good work.
PS. 20 years later, Al is still jealous of my good looks.
It’s a better pool than the SW location, with wider lanes. The shower was hot and stayed hot which is luxurious after swimming b
Always there, always clean and good communication.
The downtown YMCA has everything I need to do what I want to do. The only thing I'd like its water exercise classes and not just lap swimming.
Love the women's gym. Very friendly women in there and it's private which makes it a huge plus for girls!!
I feel like they are catered to my personal needs. I feel that I am focused on as a human being to achieve my goals.
Good classes, great teachers, nice facilities.
Need Friday morning exercise class there are none..
Need body pump in evening!!!
Love the downtown YMCA.
I hate to complain but those air fresheners in the bathrooms have got to go they scream lung cancer everywhere they're so strong. Honestly I'd rather smell the bathroom instead of those. That's my opinion sorry to complain.
I like the weight room and the trainers. Also enjoy the pool.
Early morning opening, pool with enough lanes that you can lap swim, private swim lessons and aquatic director and lifeguards.
The best part of the Downtown YMCA is Stacy!
Love the programs and the teachers feel like family
