Just a great place to workout.
I truly appreciate the variety and quality of programs and activities offered here. The dedication from Ms. Paige, John, and so many others is evident in how thoughtfully each event is organized and how inclusive the environment feels. I especially enjoy how the activities foster a sense of community, encourage learning, and provide opportunities for everyone to get involved and connect.
I also want to highlight that John is an excellent candidate and should be considered for the Aquatics Director position. He consistently ensures that all issues are resolved, and the kind and caring way he treats clients sets a great example for everyone. The enthusiasm and support from the staff make a real difference, and I’m grateful for the positive experiences these programs create.
Stacy is very welcoming when you come in. Always available and extremely knowledgeable. If you need anything, she can help you. I also like coming to the pool. There are plenty of lanes while the other locations only have 3 available. That is not enough for lap swimming.
we use the pool only. we participate in the aqua-joints exercise program. it works well for us and several other people we are friends with. it developed into friendships with quite a few people that we are still associated with.
There are a lot of diverse classes at the YMCA downtown. The staff is exceptionally nice.

The Y is good for me and good for others.
I have been a member since 2001 with a short hiatus during Covid.
In working with Tommy over 3 years to assist me in my balance issues and aging, my health status has improved greatly.

I really like the downtown YMCA, much more than I do much newer facilities such as the YMCA in Council Bluffs. I do wish when a machine or something in the men’s locker room breaks, that it would be repaired sooner rather than later. It also needs a couple more stepping machines. Keep up the good work!
I like how people at the YMCA are willing to do interesting things and provide useful programs for their members.
The ratio of programs and participants is perfect. I have never had to wait to be active.
I love the people who work at the Y. They are super friendly and helpful.
I enjoy the pool. I’m a women’s fitness center member because of the showers. It’s frustrating that there are no towels still about 75% of the time. For me this defeats the purpose of paying extra for the fitness center.

love the gym and sauna- very reasonably priced
The yoga classes on Monday and Wednesday are great! Would love to have an additional class offered by one of these two instructors (Olivia or Tommy) on the weekend.
I've been a member since 2006 and love what the YMCA has to offer the community the classes are great the instructors are amazing and I've met some amazing ppl along the way so if you're thinking about becoming a member Don't hesitate they also will work with you financially if you think you can't afford it. I hope this helps someone make a decision to join.

I don’t participate in any programs or activities, I really should tho 😩😢, but the gym / pool / front desk employees are awesome. Yes ! this place I will highly recommend to my family, friends , and IBEW Union brothers . YMCA is a community of very loving people . Keep up the good work .
I like the weight lifting areas, the cycling machines, and i love the classes especially the capoeira one with tommy. Thank you
Activities are accessible, affordable and for all ages.
I and others absolutely do not understand the swimming pool schedule.
It appears that scheduling a lane is for a special few?
I and others were told the pool is only available after 3:30 pm?
You can't book a lane in advance if you are a mediocre swimmer?
I consider the Downtown YMCA to be the flagship of the Omaha, Council Bluff’s franchise.
But I must admit my bias, having a long history w/ the DT YMCA. Going back to high school(Post-Prom Party), to later working as a counselor w/ the best Summer Fun Club in the City, I’ve had the privilege of having a great relationship w/ the Downtown Flag.
I swim at 7 a.m. some mornings and the staff/lifeguards are attentive and cheerful. Front desk staff also.

Incredible teachers, great instruction, nice facility!
The team seems to genuinely enjoy teaching the students.
Flexibility of the nation wide program as a student traveling for rotations!
Older lady with glasses at the front desk needs to take better customer service skills classes.🙃
The staff are friendly. The workout area has a variety of equipment, and the facilities are clean.
