The Yoga and Medityation program. Sauna and Steam
I don’t participate in any programs or activities, I really should tho 😩😢, but the gym / pool / front desk employees are awesome. Yes ! this place I will highly recommend to my family, friends , and IBEW Union brothers . YMCA is a community of very loving people . Keep up the good work .
I like the weight lifting areas, the cycling machines, and i love the classes especially the capoeira one with tommy. Thank you
Activities are accessible, affordable and for all ages.
I and others absolutely do not understand the swimming pool schedule.
It appears that scheduling a lane is for a special few?
I and others were told the pool is only available after 3:30 pm?
You can't book a lane in advance if you are a mediocre swimmer?
I consider the Downtown YMCA to be the flagship of the Omaha, Council Bluff’s franchise.
But I must admit my bias, having a long history w/ the DT YMCA. Going back to high school(Post-Prom Party), to later working as a counselor w/ the best Summer Fun Club in the City, I’ve had the privilege of having a great relationship w/ the Downtown Flag.
I swim at 7 a.m. some mornings and the staff/lifeguards are attentive and cheerful. Front desk staff also.
Environment
Incredible teachers, great instruction, nice facility!
The team seems to genuinely enjoy teaching the students.
Flexibility of the nation wide program as a student traveling for rotations!
Older lady with glasses at the front desk needs to take better customer service skills classes.🙃
Great pool with good hours. Machines are not too busy.
Swimming coach actually teach. Kids relax and relate to the team.
I like all the programs and activities
Very well maintained pool for lap swimming. Also enjoy the weights area.
Everyone there is so nice
I love the sauna rooms and the cleanliness of the entire facility. It’s a place of sweat but it is well kept in the work out area. I was able to get my locker and do my work out in a nice environment.
I appreciate several aspects of your programs and activities for Acey and Zoey:
* Swimming Lessons: The structure and progression of the lessons are excellent, ensuring that both Acey and Zoey are building skills confidently while enjoying their time in the water. The focus on safety and technique is particularly reassuring.
* Ms. Paige: She is a wonderful instructor—caring, attentive, and able to connect with the children. Her positive energy makes the lessons enjoyable and helps the kids feel comfortable learning new skills.
* John, the Aquatic Director: John’s oversight brings a sense of professionalism and organization to the entire program. His involvement ensures that all activities run smoothly and that families feel supported. Having a dedicated director like John is a real asset to the program.
Overall, your programs foster a fun, supportive environment where Acey and Zoey can thrive both in and out of the water.
Best pool in Omaha
Dans strength training classes, water aerobics, my dtr who’s in the daycare program 25 years ago so you know how long I have been associated with YMCA. I don’t be as healthy as I am today. If it weren’t for all the body pump classes yoga everything else I love the YMCA. I will always be a part of it. I pray.
Staying fit and well. Staff and trainer are great
Unsure of what’s available
I love pickleball on Sunday and the weight room
There is always someone there to assist you!
At the DT YMCA, Dan provides senior citizens with a very good Silver Sneakers class.
Thank you Dan for attending the services for one of our recently deceased participants.
Very kind of you, very empathetic.
This past Mon/Tue/Wed, I attended Dan's session, Debra's and Tiffany's. I
thoroughly enjoyed the music selection provided in the Wed session with Tiffany.
At 75, visually impaired and transportation challenged, if I appear to be an irregular in
attendance, it does not reflect my true appreciation for what the YMCA provides.
Thank you, DT YMCA, Mr. Brandon Palmer, Stacey and the entire DT staff.

Group classes
Staff is very helpful and engaging.
There’s a real diversity of them and when you go to one you develop some camaraderie with people. As a retired guy, it also sets my schedule.

I've been a member since 2006 and love what the YMCA has to offer the community the classes are great the instructors are amazing and I've met some amazing ppl along the way so if you're thinking about becoming a member Don't hesitate they also will work with you financially if you think you can't afford it. I hope this helps someone make a decision to join.
