I like YMCA because I feel I live in a big family. Members do interact with each other as a family. In addition the management, the managers and the receptionists are very courteous and friendly ready to help. Thank you for your service. ❤️

Need more info or really ANY info on new ownership of the Y and what is going to happen to the building and the pool now that the city owns the building. There should be perhaps a monthly update message to members even if there is no news.
More pool time. More pool time. More pool time. Both Birmingham and Royal Oak pools are chronically jammed and more than 2 swimmers per lane is dangerous. I have been hit by others more than once and do not feel safe. Please find funds to pay lifeguards and qualified guards and expand pool hours. You are not serving the community effectively on either of these issues.

The many programs offered, but I'm REALLY upset that the facility will be closing. WHY did you sell the land and leaving many members no where to go and swim. Also where are all the kids going to go for the wonderful summer programs.
The Birmingham YMCA is welcoming, friendly, courteous and a great facility to visit and work out. I have been able to lower my A1c through daily workouts and find this facility to be easy to attend and has become part of my daily routine.

Water aerobics very good exercise
The instructor I frequent is fabulous. Her workouts challenge me. I would be extremely disappointed if this facility closes and I couldn’t attend her classes.
If the people are a window into an establishment, then the Birminghsm Y is a great one. I enjoy my routines, in large part, because they put me in that happy zone.
This facility has a great staff and the patrons formed a sense of community that is hard to replicate. I also appreciate the cleanliness of the facility.
Please go back to opening when the facility is ready for patrons instead of waiting until exactly 6am.
All ymca has very friendly staff
I just reinstated my membership since COVID. I like that it is close by, 1.5 blocks away, and the sense of community there. However, I have not yet used the facilities as I am recovering from breast cancer radiation treatments, and need to wait 2 more weeks. I'm excited to do strength training to maintain/improve mobiity.
