The fact that its a league where kids can actually play as well as practice is great. The interaction with other kids, team atmosphere (blue vs. orange). The opportunity to learn more about pace and etiquette. Scoring and learning the rules of the game. Opportunity to be coached by great All great stuff. Thank you.
The coaches and team competition
Really liked the coaching my son received. Also, the scramble format for league play was ideal for this age. I feel that he got a lot out of it this summer.
Both my son and I really enjoyed the PGA Jr. League at Door Creek Golf Course. My son really learned so much about the game, how to play it, and how to communicate with teammates and opposing teams. It was really great to see him work out "best ball" with his teammates and communicate strokes/wins with the opposing teams.
For myself, I don't really know a lot about golf, but know that in my career everyone golfs. I've really enjoyed picking up some tips, lingo, and information about the game along the way as well! Likewise, it was a wonderful way to see area golf courses and get acclimated/accustomed to where they are at and how the game works. We're actually making plans to golf as a family for the first time EVER!
The experience has been invaluable on so many leaves. Both our jr. golfer and we have made friends, learned more about the game, and are excited to now schedule some golf on local courses! THANK YOU to our PRO's for making it a wonderful experience, for their patience with us and for their excitement and encouragement for the game. Coaches, course, seeing our child improve
Our son had a great experience with the PGA Jr. League. It was his first time doing an organized golf league and he felt very welcome and comfortable. The coaches were friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back next year!
