The league was amazing and great to play other teams and different courses. Coach Tom was a great coach and the kids had great experience. I would highly recommend it!
Fun and competitive
Great experience with the coaches on the course, a very encouraging and fun environment to learn alongside teammates and have some light hearted competition.
A fantastic and approachable way for kids to learn how to play golf out on the course.
Wonderful program for junior girls and boys that really helps children understand the game and it’s principles. Junior PGA coaches are wonderful people who are truly advancing the game to all ages.
No stress was to learn golf
We’ve had such a great experience with the PGA Kids Program! The course is fantastic, and the entire program is extremely well organized and run. Mark Thornewell, Chip Rancos, and the entire staff have been incredibly helpful, welcoming, and supportive.
Most importantly, my son absolutely loves being part of the program. He’s learning so much about the game, improving his skills, and having a ton of fun at the same time. The coaches do a great job of creating a positive environment where the kids can learn, compete, and enjoy golf.
We really appreciate all the time and effort Mark, Chip, and the staff put into making the program such a great experience for the kids and families. I would highly recommend the PGA Kids Program to any parent looking to get their child involved in golf!
We had a wonderful experience with Coach Peter, and we drive one hour every year to participate in his time, I do feel there could be more supervision and supporting during the games to make sure the children are playing correctly and being treated respectfully.
During couple games, a parent called my daughter a 12 year old at the time a liar and accused her of lying on the score, when his son in saying that she was right. I didn't want to argue, and so my daughter. He was very rude toward the kids. The experience stayed with my daughter for months, but at the time, she did not want me to tell the coach. unfortunately, we experience similar situation last year as well.
My daughter have been playing for almost 4 years, and one concern she has mentioned is inclusion. I really wish a coach or another trained adult or teen could be present on the games observing, offer guidance, and step in when needed.
I also believe having more teens coaches as volunter (teens), they can gain hours, would be wonderful to help other teen in then on games. As a mental health professional, I know that children have different needs. Some may need more support, while others may only need a quick tip, encouragement, or reassurance to help them to feel confident like in any sport. Creating that supportive environment can make a big difference in a youth athlete's experience.
Great program for kids
team play.
Junior golfers learn how to completement each other's strengths and weaknesses.
Well organized super fun well run coach was awesome
My son had a lot of fun learning more about the game and also having an opportunity to compete. I think a lot of his enjoyment was because of the leadership at the Plainfield West location, especially coach Pete and coach Bill. They care about the kids and work hard to help them develop.
We're so happy to have the opportunity to participate in the league.
My son enjoyed the practices and matches. It gave him a friendly environment to learn the game and course etiquette to give him the confidence to play outside of the program.
Everything especially the coordinator Travis Banks.
Opportunity to play
Great experience all around for young golfers to appreciate the game and grow their skills. Really awesome that they can play at different courses.
It’s a very welcoming environment, cost effective and Coach Mike Andrusin is great. Encouraging and positive to each of the kids.
Our golf coaches are awesome! We love the environment and the wonderful experiences our sons have each summer. We are thankful for everything that they do.
I more than like the PGA Jr. League.
I Love many aspects of it.
I Love that the kids are able to compete among their peers on not only skill, yet etiquette.
Through the practices, games and participation the players grow as individuals and as team players.
I love how they can play with different teams players for it allows them to see the many styles each and everyone of them have.
As well as being paired with different coaches who are always pouring on to the students their expertise, angles, styles, constant pointing to what they are doing well and where they can potentially achieve uniquely from their own building style.
Thank You for the Love and Support you show for all of our kids.
It’s a competitive yet fun experience for the kids
Both of my children had an amazing experience with PGA Jr. League this past spring! They looked forward to every match and practice, and we loved seeing their confidence and love for the game grow. The team atmosphere, sportsmanship, and friendships made it such a positive experience. We’re so grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait for next season! Coach Brandon is the best!
