It's a great opportunity for players aged 7 to 13 years old. I wish there was a recreational league for players 13 and up. It seems to get very serious after 13 and then you have to travel a lot. I'd love for more local opportunities.
The league was very well run. Our team's coach was wonderful - very professional and absolutely great with the kids. The league gives kids at a young age a positive exposure to golf. I have recommended this program to several parents. Really great!!!!

The Pros at Glen Oaks in Old Westbury did an amazing job. They taught the kids well and most importantly taught them to love and respect the game. The competitive but friendly atmosphere proved to be an excellent program for my son.

Everything , what’s not to like!
First of all, no one is more dedicated to the PGA Jr League than Coach Rich Jones. He is truly a wonderful role model for the kids. They adore him.
Secondly, the PGA Jr League allows golfers to feel as though they are part of a team. While all of a golfer's friends at school talk about their soccer, lacrosse, and baseball teams, golfers typically don't get that same team experience. Golf is an individual sport. Fortunately, PGA Junior League fills that gap.
It was great to see young players learn, laugh, compete, meet new people and most importantly have fun.

We had a wonderful PGA jr. League season. Wether it was a practice or a match my 8 year-old wss excited to go. As a playing parant I was thrilled to see him improve and develop a love for rhe game. Already looking forward to next season.
We love the coaches! Secondly, we love all of the new opportunities to play at different courses that are made available to the students plus the benefits of going to our course to practice and receiving so much encouragement.
