I have two boys 10 and 12. It was a great experience during summer vacation for them to not only learn/improve their golf skills but many other skills that golf would teach you in life like how to interact with peers with respect and encouragement, how to keep your focus/cool when things are not going in your way, how to intellectually keep up with the game of golf by not only keeping up with score but developing strategic thinking around each shot/hole with your teammate. It was a huge endeavor for PGA to offer these opportunities for kids through clubs in different neighborhoods. What an opportunity!!! I wish i had this opportunities when we were young.
It teaches them team work, good sportsmanship,and how to interact with team members and their opponents.It gives the kids the opportunity to have fun and be competitive at the same time.
