Coach Testimonials
PGA Jr. League makes golf feel like a team sport instead of an individual one. The scramble format takes pressure off individual scores and gives juniors the freedom to compete, make mistakes, encourage teammates, and have fun together.
From a coaching perspective, I also love that it allows me to teach so much more than the golf swing. We can develop confidence, sportsmanship, decision-making, resilience, and what it means to be a great teammate in a real on-course environment. It creates a natural bridge from learning golf to becoming a golfer and, just as importantly, gives kids a community that makes them want to keep coming back.

TEAM concept
I have enjoyed the PGA Junior League this summer. The kids have loved it! This is quite time consuming, more than Team Golf, since we need to set the course up, but it is worth the effort. I understand that the SFPGA cannot be going to all courses and counties year round for so many events. On the positive side, matches are set by the individual league, and Captains can work together to set things up and make any sensible changes. Overall, Junior League is great!
This is the most fun I've ever had as a PGA Professional. The format. The uniforms. The branding. The team aspect. The website. All make for a wonderful experience.

I like the team format of the matches. The PGA does a very good job marketing the program. I like the focus on coaching and team learning.
