Coach Testimonials
It’s an opportunity for players to have fun and compete with their friends.
The environment it provides for juniors and their families. It’s so fun and exciting for everyone!
I love that PGA Jr. League gives players that normally would be competing against each other on the course the opportunity to work and play together as a team. PGA Jr. league is the best thing that has ever happened to junior golf.
I like that it gives kids a place to start for golf. Golf is such an individual sport and by having a team environment they can discover golf and learn from others. It helps social skills. It teaches you how to handle adversity. Kids will learn how involved they want to be in golf after they get a fun taste of golf. If it is too competitive, kids may not stay, so that is why I like to think of it as a place to start golf. I teach my team to be compassionate if they are really beating a team and handling defeat by being proud of their effort. One thing I don’t like about the PGA Jr League is the road to Nationals. Having parts of teams in a region make up a team is where I’m lost. It is expensive to travel when we spent all season playing local. Choosing players to be on a team with a different coach makes it hard to get team spirit. With all of that being said, I will only stick to regional local playoffs. Now that golf has been one of the only sports kids can play rather safely, staying local is of more importance. Just my two cents. Overall I really enjoy being a coach and providing this first step into golf for young kids.
I love PGA Jr League! Especially after this year, when the way too competitive side of it was taken away by COVID. I'd recommend it to everyone! I know a post season will return but I'm not a fan of something that is supposed to be a growth initiative, highlighting only the talented players in the post-season. Either way, I love PGA Junior League but with a slight tweak of the post season, once it returns, it would be perfect.
Team format, fun,
Joy and excitement it brought to our kids
It’s an excellent program for juniors to play in a competitive and fun format.
It’s the best thing ever for kids and I enjoy it very much. It’s the best thing
It's a great opportunity for kids of all levels to give competative golf a try. It's great fun for all ages and abilities. And they even get to make new friends.
It’s awesome
Great program for growth
An opportunity for me to share the passion and love I have for the game of golf. It is fun to see these young boys and girls to work as a team in what typically is an individual sport.
The team the team the team! Rest way to get kids into the game comfortably!
PGA junior league created an opportunity for our junior golfers not only to learn the game of golf but to have a friendly competitive environment that promoted golf, fellowship and respect for one another.
Everything.
Teaching and seeing the smile on their faces makes me so happy. I love teaching and meeting new young kids. I love what I do.
Competitive team format allowing for beginners and advanced players to compete together.
I like that it is geared toward less experienced kids so they can play golf in a safe, fun environment. What I don't like about it is the playoff system. I also wish it was just a yearly fee for the jersey's because we do a Fall and a Summer season and my kids are getting a lot of jersey's and only wearing them for 4 matches and then have to buy a new one. Playoff's are a joke because if a player is selected to be in All Star's, then there is a huge expense for the parents and for the coaches to travel to play nine holes.
It is a great opportunity for the kids in my program to meet and play with kids from other junior golf programs in low pressure competition. Our junior golfers learned a lot about etiquette and sportsmanship in addition to the competition.
The juniors that are not as serious really enjoy the team concept. The parents also enjoy the camaraderie with other families and feel like the events are excellent for family quality time. This is a nice opportunity for us as PGA Professionals to teach life skills, golf etiquette, and a program for self improvement.
It is the most fun and exciting way for kids of all playing abilities to learn the game and compete with their friends.
I love the team kits and format!
It gets kids involved in a team atmosphere which keeps their attention and creates some comradery amongst themselves.
Format, organized from top down, great promotions from PGA HQ.
Great Opportunity for professionals to grow their junior program and get more kids involved in golf
The team concept of playing in two player matches
Positive experience for the kids.
Everything, I enjoyed it very much teaching the kids. I love everything about it. I couldn't change the world, especially big smile on their faces it;s the best. It is a great way to introduce juniors to the game and generate revenue at your facility
We like the opportunity for our Junior golfers to meet and compete against other junior golfers in the surrounding area. Helps to build friendships, creates opportunities to learn the game of golf and develops confidence in the golfers

Great way to get kids involved in the game!
