It's our biggest junior program at our club, probably because it is a team event.
The impact we have on the kids lives is irreplaceable. Also the on course experience they get is invaluable to their improvement.
I love setting up practices with the kids and seeing them week in and week out. I love watching them not only improve their golf game but also have fun while doing it. It's also great to see their competitive nature spark when we have matches.
PGA Jr is a great avenue to allow players and family's from different backgrounds to come together and enjoy the game of golf. Its a great way to learn without tons of pressure being put on the kids.
I like that I connect with so many families that come from different backgrounds in the game. Everyone has their own version of what success is in golf and we get to work on that goal together. Junior League grows my lesson base to include parents and other siblings I may not be in touch with through normal channels. We can also get families interested in coming to the course more for their recreation time. They might play twilight or practice after dinner and that all happens at the course and they are so proud to tell you about their extra practice. I have always had bosses tell me that it is tough to get customers to the course but when they are there it is an easy sell to keep them engaged in the game or at the Tiki Bar or the practice green. Junior League in another way to keep generations engaged in our game.

Great way to promote golf to kids
I have been running PGA Junior League since 2015 and the popularity of the idea is really growing with our families. The kids get to play other great courses in our area. The parents are excited to see their kids out competing. Its a win win for everyone. Our facility hosted the first Family Cup 9 hole event just yesterday and the parents loved it more than the players. Golf is a game we all can pass down to another generation and events like yesterday prove that. So many of our first season parents are so impressed with what this is all about. Kudos to everyone involved.

I love how golfers of all skill levels can do PGAJL, meet new friends, play amazing golf courses and get comfortable out there. It is a great way of growing the game. The uniforms are very cool for the kids too and they love being part of a team. For the elite PGAJL players, it's a nice break from the stress of individual tournaments with an amazing end goal of making a National Championship live on ESPN!
