every single one of the group exercise instructors is great. Professional, outgoing, positive reinforcement, asks for feedback from the class. They enjoy what they're doing and it shows!
The classes are great and the instructors are even better! Love the Y.
The variety and schedule with many time slots.i really like the ladies work out room.
I used to like the supply of towels and the fact you were open at 10am on Sundays
I truly enjoy the classes and to be honest, that is probably why I am still at the Y. Ashley V. is my favourite instructor of all. I am enjoying the tennis courts as well. The availability of the free weight area is the reason I'm going to another gym. You have increased prices (are about to) and I do not feel it's worth it, if you do not provide the towel service again. When you re-opened during COVID you were cleaning the machines consistently and now that, that has faded the drastic change is noticeable. The equipment is filthy and I mean the parts that no one really touches. The flooring needs to be redone as well. I understand funds are low due to changes in the gym culture, which is why I support the Y as much as possible. Thanks for letting lockers be rented. :) PLEASE bring back towel service.
I returned to Trotter Y after a long absence because of the pandemic.
The Forever well classes on the mat and stretch classes in the gym have
been a great way to begin gaining back strength and flexibility.
Thanks!
I don’t use exercise equipments anymore due to old age but will try using some easy and convenient ones.
The Y is a nice and clean place to workout and relax in the whirlpool and sauna.
It’s a great place to improve your health.
You know about my commitment to my continued recovery self-program from my auto accident 12/26/81. I was in a wheel chair for over a year. That's given me ALL the drive I need. I've been working out at different Houston citywide YMCA's since 1/84. What I like at the different Y's is the comradery and friends made. Now my work-outs are exclusively at Post Oak/Trotter and enjoy seeing regulars, friendly employee's, equipment, especially the pool and steam room. I get the best feeling walking out the Y after my workout and swim and steam room followed by the best part of my work-out. My SHOWER. Walking out clean and rejuvenated into the garage parking lot makes me wonder why EVERYONE does not take their heath more serious. Also what I like about the YMCA is the principle that DEATH HAS DIED, JESUS CHRIST has risen.
I would like a wider variety of yoga and stretching classes.
variety of programs
need more water classes

The best staff. Friendly and always greet you by your name. So many activities besides exercise. Bus trips, dominos, bridge, knitting etc. special classes on nutrition . Educational on many subjects to stay safe especially for seniors. Highly recommend to anyone who is interested in meeting people and want a safe place to enjoy all the activities that the Y has to offer to stay healthy.
Forever Well Program is excellent.
Good classes with excellent instructors
Ample amount of cardio machines, friendly staff, locker room cleanliness.
It is an excellent place
I love the peaceful environment of the Trotter Family YMCA. Please increase the aqua aerobic classes please.
Diversity of programs and inclusiveness of people attending.
Everything!
Reformer Pilates. Pool with a deep end for my son to swim. Lots of rooms to do independent stretching and workouts.
There are numerous activities for all ages and sexes.
Has almost everything that I would want at the Y. Staff are good, clean, safe, and not super busy.
The tennis court wind guards need to be replaced or fixed.
A nice to have would be a ping pong table.
Friendship/fellowship, good health habits!
Great variety! All ages and abilities, and a super variety of equipment.
Classes, friendliness of front desk
I and other senior citizen friends are very disappointed that you do not participate in Medicare’s Silver Sneaker program any longer. Each of us has asked an employee why the program was terminated so now we have to pay $30 a month, when they are innumerable other health clubs where there is no fee for senior citizens…
Each of us has been given an uncaring reason of sort…”We have trouble with them… It’s not something we wish to continue pursuing… It’s just not a part of our curriculum any longer…We’re not interested…”. $360 a year is a lot of money for those of us on a very fixed income. Of any club, one would think that the YMCA would have a more caring attitude, which it once did. We hope that you will reconsider the SILVER SNEAKER program again.
