The youth programs and the early morning gym access
Family swim. The pool with the slide. The availability of life guards on duty.
My mom loves the aqua fitness classes, but they fill up so fast. More offerings would be great. Thank you though for all you do!
Swimming pool, clean water. We swam different pools. There’s some other YMCA outdoor pool so disgusting. We like the cleanness of Weekley pool!
There is a variety for all age groups - something for everyone.
I only use the Wellness Center. I appreciate the staff, especially Martha.
Love the reservation system for swimming
good cordio and excerzie programs
Spin classes!😀
I like the boot camp classes. Locker rooms are nice too. Clean and good amenities.
Since returning to the Y in April 2021 (after receiving the COVID vaccinations), my involvement has exclusively been group classes.
Overall, I am pleased with the ease of signing up for classes. It does take some planning to sign up right away when classes become available and many times I've been waitlisted for my favorite classes/teachers. (I am semi-retired so my schedule fluctuates.)
My only complaint--and granted it is small--is that if I am on a waitlist, my clearance to attend can be (like this am) 20 minutes before the start of the class. That doesn't work unless one lives next door!
I doubt there is a fix, as I assume this complex reservation system works automatically.
The broader question is whether the classes will continue to be limited in #. Honestly, I will give up the freedom of attending classes without reservations for the comfort of being in a class that's not packed.
Fyi, I have been a Y member for 40 years in various cities I've lived in. Since moving to Houston, my son attended Y after-school programs and summer day camps through middle school. Although I do not identify as Christian, I appreciate the non-profit mission, the diversity of the membership and the family atmosphere. The staff do a good job of making everyone feel welcome.
Also, although I've heard others complain about it, I love the comfortable if slightly chaotic vibe of young people in the building. I've wondered why those who park their Mercedes and BMWs are members, but I understand why someone would choose the Y instead of the Houstonian, etc.

I love my Pilates classes. The pool is clean too.
Range of programs to include all ages and skill sets
Lots of options
I love the instructors energy and her ability to get everyone to get involved.
I have a very hectic schedule and so I can go workout pretty much anytime I want to. I don't participate in the classes but I do like that I can use the machines without any trouble.
Recreational swimming pool!
I hope more days and time are added to be back to the 2019 schedule.
Focus on kids activities
We like everything except when weight lifter drop their weight.
Good range of activities
Swimming
Quality of instructors
We have only used the Wellness Center. Love all the equipment and the egym. All so well maintained. Plenty of personnel to assist.
swimming
So much available for such a reasonable price. Great staff, friendly and helpful.
Busy but not too crowded and the options allow you to do a great workout by yourself or with a group, with free weights or machines. However you want to workout, it’s great.
Love the childcare that’s included so I can workout while my kids are getting watched by someone else!
I l like the Egym and clean facilities, friendly staff, child care, options to do more.
I love your water exercise classes, though I wish they were before 10am or in the evening, so it would be easier to work it in around my work schedule. It would also be nice if they were offered more days of the week.

I like the swimming pool, but i do not like the fact that it is essentially closed to lap swimming from 4pm every day for swim lessons. there are too many members who like to do lap swimming for exercise and 2 lanes to share is not enough. I dont know the solution, since I also am fully supportive of having swim lessons available
I slipped on the tile floor that leads from the pool entrance to the mens locker room and hit my head on the wall. No permanent injury, but more of the floor needs to be covered by the non skid mats.
