Since my daughter has started going to Sylvan I have seen her attitude and confidence improve so much! The staff is so friendly and works hard to individualize the session to each child's needs, which her school could not do. I would recommend Sylvan Learning Center for any child who needs that extra bit of help.
So far our experience with the Sylvan Learning Center in Springfield, MO has been great. Our son has been attending sessions for 5 weeks and he seems to be excited about what he is learning. He actually mentioned that he didn't mind reading now.

I got two good notes from the teacher after being there for a month! I would definitely recommend this program to everyone!

We have been going to Sylvan for several years, and we have really enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend the Northland team. Barbara has been great, and the team of tutors has been a much needed support and lift to our regular teaching professionals.

My grandson is enrolled with Sylvan. Both my daughter and son have also gone to Sylvan when they were in school. I have found Sylvan's tutors to be very knowledgeable, helpful and always willing to work with us. I couldn't think of any other place to enroll my grandson for some extra tutoring.

The teachers have been very positive and my child (who hates school) actually likes going to Sylvan. My child had been was 2 grades behind on phonics and the teachers have a plan and on track to catching up.
When I first called Sylvan in September at the beginning of our journey with our son I was immediately impressed by how reassuring, compassionate, and understanding my first phone call was. Now with being almost 8 weeks into our journey with them I am very pleased with their ability to show us measurable victories for our son! The willingness to communicate and advocate for our Child is so reassuring as parents.
My son is legally blind in one eye, he has never enjoyed reading. He was in third grade during the pandemic. He had a lot of trouble, by the end of 4th grade, he had an IEP and was in the special education program. He hated school and was starting to have behavioral issues. I felt like the program was not helping him catch up with his peers. In fact it was quit the opposite, we were losing ground quickly. We joined Syvan the end of 5th grade. His last full year in the pecial Education program at school was 6th grade. His last full year with Sylvan was 7th grade. He will be entering eight grade strong. His tutor not only helped him catch up to his grade level: more importantly she helped him regain confidence in himself.
