We come to the NE YMCA because of the LiveStrong program that I participate in and the Parkinson program that my husband attends twice weekly. They both teach us how to manage our physical & social health despite whether or not we are living with active diseases. We are stronger than before, have an active supportive community of other cancer survivors, Parkinson’s patients and their supporters, and learn how to be care for ourselves.

I love walking in and be greeted with a smile and frequently by name . The atmosphere is so friendly and genuine . Seeing Dana at the front desk is always a treat.
My yoga instructor (Rebecca B.) is amazing. She inspires us to strive physically, and shares her philosophy so that we can experience inner growth as well .
The other Y members are friendly and easy to talk to, and the entire facility is clean and well kept , due in no small part to the diligent efforts of Savanna.
There are so many things to like ‘best’ that it is impossible to choose just one .

I like that it is a comfortable family kind of atmosphere that allows me to spend time with my 14 yo daughter and catch up while walking on the treadmill or lifting weights using the machines. If we both decide to do things separately, that's ok as well, because there are tons of activities for the both of us. I feel that she will be safe. Also, we always run into someone we know and that's good too, because there's always a time to catch up with them too.
