I LOVE my Y!!
However, I was very disappointed that there was very little acknowledgement of the passing of Sonny Baker. Don't think I am alone in believing he was the heart of the Downtown Y.

The Downtown Y is an excellent place to work out. It isn’t crowded so you have access to the equipment you need. The staff is helpful & friendly. The parking garage is inexpensive & well maintained.

We really love the low student to teacher ratio for the swim lessons. My son has learned a lot and made huge improvements.
I love the Y. There's a space for EVERYONE and everything. Fun, clean, and positive energy employees. I'm very small but I love working out and I feel very comfortable in here. All type of people. Very diverse environment.

having a variety of exercise options , parking garage ,pretty clean especially for a gym , staff doesn't bother and annoy you like many gyms but quick and courteous when you do need assistance .Don't recall any negative attitude from any employee and I have been going to the 2nd street location off and on since I was in the 10th grade and I am 57 yrs old now so pretty good sampling of employees over the years
