Senior Sneakers and Tai Chi
Great facilities, classes, and equipment and very friendly staff!
I enjoy the indoor track and the library the most.
My husband and I used to attend the water aerobics classes and enjoyed it initially. He had a hearing impairment and could not wear his hearing aids in the pool; therefore, he did not follow the instructor's verbal instructions and I had to tell him (in a loud enough voice for him to hear me) to turn around, etc. We had several different instructors and the one that was with us most often at the time was rude. She would yell that some of us weren't following instructions & when I tried to correct my husband, she yelled at me and told me to STOP TALKING! I wanted to visit with her about our situation, but she would leave as soon as session ended, Another attendee exclaimed after one of those episodes, "So the ___ is yelling at the high school principal(me). She has no clue!" We stopped attending water aerobics so as not to cause distractions. My husband died a several months later and I have not been able to make myself return to the pool.
Everyone else at The Y is wonderful -- the desk clerks are phenomenal; the trainer that worked with us was so kind and caring; the cleaning crew is always courteous; and the lady that works with Sr Citizens during Bingo and potluck lunches is also wonderful. Thank you, YMCA!!
I scored The Y as a 10 because it's not fair for a temporary instructor to ruin their score.
Love the swimming pool for being a large room and extra showers by the pool to rinse off. And I like the extended hours for swimming.
LOVE the entire experience from my very first visit. the variety of programs offered, the friendly & helpful staff, the location.
I participated at their BodyCombat Express class on Sunday. I do appreciate that they offer classes on Sunday at my home YMCA Ryan do not offer classes on Sunday. It would be great if the Ryan had more classes on the weekend.
Friendly and helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere, and variety of activities and equipmet.
I’ve only visited once, but I like the convenience of the indoor walking track and gym. Also, all of their exercise equipment was in working order.

The availability of the desired equipment, the cleanliness of the facility, and the friendliness of the staff is why I give it a 10.

I come for silver sneakers and love every imstructor I have had, especially Gessica. However, due to health reasons, I am erratic in my attendance. I experienced and incident recently that made me consider joining a private gym instead. I got to the class 25 minutes in advance and lined up with the other women. I followed and retrieved my chair like the others. When I tried to find a place to set up, the other women told me the rows of 10 were full and they wouldn’t make room. Fortunately the instructor resolved this pettiness but it still left me with uncertainty about continuing. I am not sure I have a solution - more classes, bigger studios, classes in social graces and manners? Not sure, but thank you for letting me get this off my chest.
