Member Testimonials
The Northwest YMCA is working tiredlessly to restore the AOA (Active Older Adults) program back to its original robust status. There are many exercise class options (all done to music) that I absolutely love and look forward to. Zumba Gold, Line Dance and Fit for Life. I have formed many wonderful friendships comprised from the members in my classes. Keep up the good work Northwest YMCA!
The variety of classes. Really wish that Turbo Kickboxing would be brought back. It is the best cardio class I have ever taken. I realize there will never be née rounds released but there are enough rounds that it would never get old. Also need to add more classes for Friday early evening like we used to have at 4:30 or 5 pm.
Pool hours

I enjoy senior classes
The swim instructors were engaged with the students. The kids had a great time.
I love this YMCA! The only complaints I could come up with (and the first one may not even apply anymore) are that
1. In the studio that RPM is taught in, it would be great to have more bikes with the larger pedals. I was attending that class a couple of times a week when I had a back injury, and there were only two or three bikes with the larger pedals and they would sometimes get taken early on by people who likely didn’t need the larger size. Using the regular or smaller sized pedals caused quite a bit of pain in my feet and made using the bike a lot harder.
2. The weight area is awesome, the only addition I’d like to see is a “Pec Deck” (chest and back/shoulder fly machine).
Those two complaint are not-picking at best and would never stop me from recommending this Y to friends. The place is always clean and the people who work there are always really a nice

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks of preschool swim lessons coached by Miss Sarita at the Northwest YMCA. My 4 y/o daughter knew how to swim, so I was worried the class may be too low level for her, but Miss Sarita customized it to meet my daughter's needs during her turns.
The instructors were great. My son and another kid were more advanced than the other swimmers, so one of the instructors took them and worked on extra skills each day. My son loved it and learned how to swim in just two short weeks!
Robert was a good teacher and my kid liked him.
The instructors were great and so sweet with my daughter. I just wish the class could have ran longer, possibly 45 minutes. It was a big class and most of the time was spent in keeping their attention and wrangling them back in.
Overall a good start to swim lessons.
We like the focus on the student

they are great, and my wife who has back problems was told by her doctor that exercise ia great for her back ailments
