I enjoy using the weight room and the swimming pool. I like the fact that when I'm carry for a nephew or niece, the staff is understanding and allows him or her to hang out with me.

The pool is nice and well taken care of although a bit on the cool side. The summer aqua-aerobics coach was excellent and very dedicated. She would help us individually to reach our goals. The only problem that is yet to be solved is the lack of towels. I know that they were taken away because of the pandemic, but truth be told people have decided not to come back because they miss that service. Also the showers in the locker rooms are really old and in need of refurbishing and updating. Some of them don't even function at all.
I am able to use all of the exercise machines at my own pace whenever I choose and the times that I choose it is not crowded.
I love the variety of possible workouts - lifting, swimming, running, racquetball, wallyball, basketball and pickle ball.
I love being able to swim laps, and workout in the gym.
I like the variety of people and that the facility is always clean and welcoming

The instructor Betty! She is so very knowledgeable and helpful. She pays attention to her class and is fast to notice if we are doing the wrong movement and nicely instructs correction.
When I hurt myself all the class came to my aid and I felt safe and was so glad that I chose the YMCA downtown location to work out. Best class ever! Fantastic job Betty!
I like the group exercises. Also, the facility is well kept.
Access
I like the layout of the equipment. At Benbrook's location, everything seems so jammed together. The weight equipment and the treadmills are pretty close together, so it doesn't feel as comfortable.
Downtown location has the separation of the treadmills and weight equipment which makes it so much more breathable.

Everything
I have smothered water aerobics and the jacuzzi very much. I’m hoping that there will be a permanent instructor soon but have enjoyed both so far. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I was shown all over the building and informed of the programs offered. The facility is kept very clean and organized. Thank you all!!!
It is accessible for me
The programs are informative and current. The Juneteenth program was very special.
Activities for all age groups is a plus. I like the people in charge of the programs and activities. Being friendly and welcoming to all is a real plus!

Availability
My daughter learned more in 4 weeks of swim lessons at the YMCA than she did in 9 mos at a large swim school. I would definitely recommend!
the steam sauna and whirlpool helps my joints!
Everyone is very welcoming and friendly with the kids. They seem like they actually like to help our kids.
My daughter and I really enjoy swimming in the pool. We also like having a warm shower in the locker room.
