Even though she was technically passing math, my husband and I decided to get my ten year old assessed at Mathnasium and were disappointed to learn about the gaps in her math knowledge.
However, she has gone from hating math to asking to play the math "games" they use at Mathnasium! She always asks me why I came to pick her up so early even when she has been there over an hour and a half! It takes a special place for a child to want to attend math tutoring during their summer break!!! I am so so thankful I found Mathnasium and I am hopeful she will be caught up by the end of the summer.
Absolutely wonderful experience! They really care about the kids. And the tutoring has been very effective. My son does not love math but he has really enjoyed his time there. He says he will miss going when it’s over.
My kids (ages 12&9) LOVE mathnasium! They beg to go. They enjoy the teachers at the Benton/Bryant location and always leave with smiles on their faces. They have so much more confidence in math at school and their grades are better. I would recommend Mathnasium to anyone that has children that struggle in Math…. 100%!!
Hello mathnasium ! First I would like to thank you all of staff who is teaching my son and support him though finish the math. And for my opinion I just say mathnasium is the place to learn math for who is below the level of math! Ps: my son name Tung Bui he love to learn at mathnasium and he said he will recommend with his friend who is needing learn math ( that is mathnasium) thanks again

My daughter is getting ACT prep and she is really enjoying it. I almost fainted and fell over when I asked her how her first session went and she answered, "It was fun." At first, I had to talk her into going, but she is getting what she needs and really likes the staff.

My son, Mason had an amazing experience with Mathnasium over the summer. He actually enjoyed math! The instructor are kind, patient, and encouraging. I would highly recommend Mathnasium to any child that needs tutoring or to just stay proficient over the summer.
Last year my daughter had a genuine dislike of math. I was initially hesitant to enroll her in Mathnasium because I do not have expendable income and cannot afford to spend money on something that might not work. After much discussion, my wife and I made the investment and enrolled her. This investment has been the best decision we have made regarding her academic success.
My daughter does well in school by the current standards. She made a lot of "2's" on assignments and we assumed that was passing because she does well in all of her other subjects. There were times that she would complain about not understanding math but she would come home with good grades so we did not worry. After taking the initial assessment it revealed exactly what I thought it would...MANY gaps in her learning that were causing her to be frustrated with math. The list of deficiencies was long and I did not believe that she could possibly learn ALL of them over a summer.
My daughter LOVES going to work with the teachers. She has come home talking about what they did and is proud enough that she shows us. She mastered all of the skills she was lacking and has continued to go to Mathnasium now that the new school year has started. Those "2's" are now "3's" and we do not have those long nights at the kitchen table working on schoolwork.
I would highly recommend this program to anybody who has a child that might be struggling in math. It is better to discover and fill in the learning gaps when they are young than it is to wait until they struggle in high school.
