I wouldn't use any other leisure centre in the borough .
I find the staff are very friendly and helpful , the facilities within sixmile are fantastic
My friend and I went back to The Valley on Tuesday 6/2 after a break, with the intention of going for a swim and sauna etc. A very enthusiastic, welcoming woman named Betty engaged with us while we were nosying from the mezzanine into the main hall and she explained about the Walking Netball session. Because of her friendly attitude, enthusiasm and encouragement we gave the walking netball session a try - and we loved it. Betty and also Alesha were terrific and we got a lot of unexpected exercise and some laughs too. We then enquired about the badminton that followed and a lovely gentleman Joe who is a volunteer I believe, spent time with us explaining the rules and giving some tips on how to use the racquet etc and we ended up having a game of doubles with his friend Alan; again we really enjoyed the session and the exercise and the laughs at ourselves. We felt really welcomed by everyone, so much so that we went round to the table tennis room and had a hit about there. Finally we got into the pool and lo and behold the Aquafit had started! The instructor who's name I didn't catch unfortunately, was AMAZING -talk about getting a crowd going to enjoy actually exercising! And the music was brilliant too. We did eventually get to the sauna and jacuzzi and ended up spending 3 1/2 hours in the leisure centre on Tuesday. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we are so looking forward to next week 😊 Aroona and Marguerite
It’s local and has got everything that I need in a leisure centre. Staff are friendly. Also that membership cost is a fraction of private gyms!
Price is great for a family and facilities are always improving.

The staff at every level at the Valley leisure centre are absolutely amazing at dealing with members queries, The hygiene around the gym and changing facilities are of a standard you would expect from a high-end hotel gym. I’ve not been a member of long, but already I’m so happy that I made the decision to become one.

The range if classes are excellent. The gym is well spaced out with plenty of equipment. Love the updated spin studio. Grear instructors. Clean and good to see that sanitisers still made available.

Really enjoy the new gym really clean the only fault I would have is the lack of lockers & fact people use them & don’t lock them then having to wait until one is free
I think the area where the coke machines is has wasted space that could be used for more locker just a suggestion.

Never had any issues. Booking system works great, reception staff always friendly! Racquets to borrow are very helpful to try new sports

I love the variety of classes and the early morning schedules, the only feedback I have is that the new room for the wednesday circuits class is too small in comparison to the hall that it was delivered in previously.
What can I say. It's an amazing place with excellent staff, fantastic facilities and a place were all your fitness needs are met. Highly recommend.
