My daughter started mathnasium over a year ago at which point she had no confidence and was constantly questioning her math ability. It was a tough few months at the start because she’s incredibly shy and anxious and was uncomfortable asking for help and interacting with the teachers. But now she is one of the strongest kids in her class at math and has changed into a confident math kid who helps others in class.
Our 8 year daughter and 10 year old son have been going to Mathnasium (Lincoln Park) for almost 2 years now. We joined Mathnasium to give them more math support outside of the classroom and to develop their math skills. We do feel like our kids have come to enjoy their sessions because they feel that they are learning new skills. We love the virtual option as this helps fitting the session in the busy school week. Our typical schedule is 1 virtual session during the week and 1 in-person session on the weekend. The on-line schedule is convenient. Sessions do fill up quickly so I find it's good to schedule sessions early in the month. The director at the Lincoln Park location Adrian is very responsive via email and phone regarding any issues that come up especially when it comes to making sure the kids are being challenged appropriately. I like that personal connection and attention to issues/concerns that arise.
Mathnasium is a great fit for our family's needs. Our son enjoys the enrichment he gets and we are able to schedule sessions that are convenient for our family week to week.
We love Mr Adrian. He is so kind and personable. He is also super responsive and leaves no stone unturned. He cares so much about my kids and their math learning. The best experience we have ever had with math tutoring!

I'm glad to see that my daughter feels comfortable, she tells me the tutors are helping her with the skills to understand homework and how to solve it.
Our son is doing a 1-1 class with Emily every Monday AND he LOVES it. He is challenged and taught to love math. Last month he was voted the outstanding student of the week from his school due to his math work.
Personally I am thankful for Jessica and her team. They did a fantastic job creating a fun and resourceful environment. My son cannot wait to go to his 1-1 class every week.

The individual and small group design allows my student to learn in a positive and fun environment with new peers. They are growing their friend and math friend groups at the same time. They’ve also appreciated meeting more girls interested in math.

I've seen consistent results from her time with Mathnasium tutors. She is more confident in school and at home and is willing to try math computation freely, where she was very hesitant before. If she makes mistakes, she is open to receiving feedback. This speaks to the demeanor of the tutors and their consistency with reasonable expectation.
Mathnasium was a very good avenue for my family, my son needed help studying for the SAT's and the tutors were very good in helping him acheive some of the goals he neeeded to reach for the subject content he was having trouble with. I would definately recommend them ,as well as return to this center for future academic needs for my other children.
