Damion is the best trainer! I feel motivated and eager to workout. I don't even realize that we are done when a workout is over.
Stay & play is great, employees are friendly, machines always available.
Friendly staff. Open gym concept. Love the pool. Only thing I don’t like is that if I don’t set an alarm on my phone and log onto the site 5 mins ahead of time before the family swim schedule is released. You never get a spot. You literally have to plan your morning out so that you can reserve. The other thing I’ve notice is most the time, not all the families that reserve show up. I’ve been in the pool with just my little family and another family. And all
Those other spots are wasted. Not really fair in my opinion

The pasadena Y allows double swim times for those who want it. Appreciate the option as I’m training for race season. The variety of classes are great and the instructors are great too. They Help me in all aspects of health, fitness and training.

I like that there's enough space to be physically distant from others. The staff is usually very friendly. The pandemic policies have made me feel safe.
Not so sure about taking the cover off the pool in Pasadena in April
I only use the pool so can't speak to anything else. I already recommended the Pasadena pool to several friends, some of whom are already Y members. The front staff is very nice and the lifeguards range from fine to awesome. The pool is beautiful and I LOVE having my own lane, especially since I'm rehabbing shoulder injuries doing backstroke - and of course feeling much safer during the pandemic! I'll be really happy if that continues.
I can't wait for no masks, though, because I have to do all my cardio at home. Otherwise, I love the Y.
It is family friendly. It doesn’t appear as crowded right now due to Covid, but during normal summer times the pool gets very crowded it is hard to find a place to sit. It would be nice if people were limited to four hour blocks so that everyone would have the opportunity to use the pool

During the pandemic the Y has taken many safeguards to allow for limited numbers of people to participate in Y activities and exercise options while keeping them as safe as possible. At my Pasadena Y they have offered Outdoor classes, wearing masks and updating air filtering systems for indoor exercise, social distancing of participants and exercise machines, one on one personal training and small group training offered as possible. I have always felt safe when exercising in the open space and mask wearing was reinforced.
And the Y has regularly reached out to their clients with surveys throughout the months to gauge their needs and comfort level with various options along with sending regular updates about current and next steps as soon as they knew them. I greatly appreciate that level of communication and requesting input from your clients. Well done!

I would like to see the sauna room open back up, but I was told that an employee would have to sit outside the room to monator the amount of people to be let in. I know that it is all about the money. I feel that we pay enough for dues to always have the sauna open.
Love coming to the Y three days a week. I helps me with loosing weight, inches, and good for my health.
The pool at the Pasadena location is managed very well! It’s always clean and the lifeguards are professional and courteous.
