I am so thrilled that Melissa is the new manager of the Abingdon Elementary YMCA before and after care. She is excellent in every way. Please treat her well and pay her well so that she stays. They really need to have consistent staff there. All of the current staff are so warm and friendly. I love how they have created so many activities for the kids to do. Our son absolutely loves going everyday. He's upset when he can't go early in the morning to play there.

Ms Barb and her team are excellent at providing quality care. My son comes home with wonderful stories of activities and friends he’s made at the Y!

Very happy with our afterschool program. Just wish that there was an option for days off of school that aren't holidays for childcare.

Erica, the person who runs the program, is wonderful! She is very communicative and so kind. Our son loves her and loves going to the Y in the morning. We appreciate her so much!

My daughter loves her mornings at the Y! She says great things about Mr. Jack. This makes me feel much better about having to get her there so much earlier than the other students. It’s a plus for me and her.

Ms. Britany is awesome and so sweet! She is very attentive to the kids and has a loving, warm spirit about her that the kids seem to love and take to almost immediately!!

The care and consideration that goes into managing my children each day is excellent. The team is responsive and approachable. The children are safe and engaged for the duration of their time with the Y each day.

Friendly, good value, good experiences

The Y is a safe place for my child to be before/after school. I like that care is provided at the school so no transportation is required. The staff are very kind and caring and provide a great environment for the kids.

My kids loved it since the first day. They actually get upset if I come "too early" for them. The staff are very caring and take the time to get to know each kids and their individual needs. I am very impressed and would recommend this program 100%.

The teachers are wonderful and create a lot of opportunities for both play and enrichment.

I love how willing they are to work with children who are neurodivergent and may not fit in a perfect little box Miss Patrice has gone above and beyond to ensure that my son is able to get the resources and able to participate in activities that he may have previously been told to sit out for from other after care programs.
