I started seeing improvement within the first two weeks that we started. My daughter’s confidence started showing. She is always excited to go to the center. I love how there is a reward system and she is always talking about how she is saving up for the Pokémon cards. The staff at the center is really nice and always very helpful. My family just started about a month ago, so far so good, my child does enjoys going. It has helped with his independence and he is feeling more confident in math already! As far as seeing results in his school scores, I think it will take more time, but that is okay. I have recommended Mathnasium to other parents and while they are interested, it just depends on that families situation and if it’s affordable to them- which for some families it is not, and that is unfortunate, especially for the child. As a parent, I really like the scheduling set-up. Both it’s flexibility and ease of use. Thank you!

Comment/Suggestion: It would be nice if the current work at school could be incorporated into the tutoring on site at Mathnasium. Sometimes the differences in the two methods were a little confusing to my child.

Our son is so happy and really enjoying going there. We are also receiving great feedback from his math teacher that he is doing really well in school so this makes us feel really good! We hope to continue to see such enthusiasm of mathematics with our son and thank you all for your continued support!

The instruction and program at Mathnasium has been a life saver. My daughter has gone from a fear and hatred of math to a real excitement and competence in the subject. She'd rather do math there than at school where math is not taught in an exciting or tangible way. We need more Mathnasium in the world and I highly highly recommend the program!

I have received positive feedback and accounts of learning and pride in achievement from my daughter. I have personally experienced responsive, positive and welcoming feedback from staff whether in-person, email, text or phone. The positive, yet accountable status updates are appreciated, especially in those instances where my student was less-focused during the session. Mathnasium has brought a sense of calm, and hope, to my fears and concerns for my daughter who lost the chance to master 3rd grade math during Covid. We are very happy with our son’s progress at the Altadena Mathnasium. He is very confident in his math skills wether he is working at school or at home. When he is completing math homework, he requires minimal assistance. We are also very happy with all the instructors our son has had. They are very enthusiastic, and he is always excited to come to Mathnasium. It’s never a challenge to get him to attend sessions. We also appreciate the new ease of scheduling and how responsive the instructors are when we call or text. We also like the diversity of staff and students at the Altadena location. We travel from an area where there is a center a few blocks away from our home. We have already referred friends who are considering mathnasium to this location.

We had a great experience at Mathnasium. My son had fallen behind after a year of math on zoom in COVID. Mathnasium assessed what level he was at, and brought him back up to his current grade level in 4 months. The instructors make math fun!

I certainly would like the progress to go faster however I can understand how this can be difficult especially since there is almost always a different teacher each session.

Before Mathnasium, my 6th grade daughter was way behind in math and reluctant to try. After one visit to Mathnasium, she became excited about math, and learned a lot over the summer.

My daughter has just completed high school, and Mathnasium has supported her excellence, resulting in her Life Membership in the California Scholarship Federation. Beyond this, she now is fearless regarding math and has developed a growth mindset that any problem is solvable. Thank you for helping launch her into adulthood!

My two girls started Mathnasium later than most kids, during the summer between their middle school and their freshman year. The staff initially gave them a pretest, and based on the identified gaps, they developed a personalized worksheet plan for each girl. Initially, because the worksheet focused on the identified foundational gaps (ie, middleschool math), their worksheet did not align with their current math classes. However, building strengths in these foundational math eventually helped them with their current math class. It has now been exactly one year since they began their mathnasium and both girls aced their freshman math finals. But more importantly, I love seeing my girls' confidence with math and how this confidence translates into self confidence and into other classes. I highly recommend the Mathnasium of Altadena where your kids will enjoy taking math sessions with such relatable and personable experts! Thank you Arpi, Michael, and Dylan!
