My child loves Mathnasium. Seriously! She looks forward to going. The tutors do an outstanding job meeting her at her level and making math fun and engaging for her. She loves completing her math sheets to get hole punches for rewards. The tutors send weekly reports and check in with parents regularly. My child feels confident in advanced math at school because of Mathnasium.
From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by name, and the experience is exceptional. The staff at this location are always ready to listen, problem-solve, and sit with you to understand what a child is going through and provide ideas. The math tutors do their best with a 4:1 ratio and collaborate if/when needed. I appreciate this openness and honesty because they all have the same mission - to teach the students in an effective way. I am thankful that I found this location. My girls love being there and are motivated to keep trying. Also, in this environment my kids have also found friends that they can turn to for support because math is not a competition it is a collaborative.

I initially enrolled my child in Mathnasium in Nevada, where she had a fantastic experience. Jersey City Mathnasium is a bit different in its offerings and while the tutors are less engaging and less personable than those in Nevada, my child is still making great gains in math. She is starting to catch up to grade level and that is invaluable. I would recommend Mathnasium to anyone whose children need to sharpen up in math, as well as those whose children are already excelling but want to get to the next level. Olivia is a great manager of this location and she inspires confidence in parents wanting to enrol their children. My constructive criticism would be for JC Mathnasium to be more selective in hiring, specifically hiring young people/college students instead of older people as older people simply CANNOT relate to Gen Alpha kids struggling in math. Most of the JC tutors are young but there is one middle-aged lady who absolutely has to go as she is ill-suited to the job. Nevada Mathnasium understood that. If you can get young people who are good in math but also have fun personalities, even better (though appreciate that may be hard to find in New Jersey). Overall, still a great experience and I'm grateful for the gains my child is making.
My daughter loves Mathnasium, it helped her to really love math. She used to be scared of her math quizzes and tests, now she says it's her favorite subject.
Before starting Mathnasium, my kids were average students at best when it comes to math but within a couple months, with just once a week tutoring, my kids where trending to be above 90th percentile in proficiency. They love coming to your site for tutoring, it’s like a special weekly treat for them and it’s because your staff has created a culture and environment where learning math is fun. Your facility is very lively and vibrant. The staff is friendly, patient and so personable. My kids want to go to Mathnasium because they want to see their tutors. I appreciate that your tutors have a consistent and set schedule where they get to see familiar faces that creates a comfortable environment for learning.
We really like the reward system but we also think that your snacks should be free. Otherwise, we love how confident our child is in math.

My son started Mathnasium over the summer. He had been feeling very unconfident in his math skills by the end of his second grade year. He even mentioned that he didn’t think he was smart. After a few months at Mathnasium, that completely turned around. He started this school year confident in his math skills and excited to go to school. He’s all caught up and right where he’s supposed to be at school, and best of all, he enjoys going to Mathnasium!
Moira has been doing great and enjoys it, she has brought up her grade and I can see relief in her knowing she has a place to go ask her questions.

Mathnasium in Scottsdale has been such an amazing experience for us and our son. He has been going for a couple months now and his confidence has grown so much already. They are kind, patient and very attentive to his individual needs. We love going and appreciate the effort all of the tutors put into each kiddo as well as Amy - she is great! I'm happy we found it.

It has been a joy to work with the staff at Mathnasium @ woodlake. Ms Amy and the crew are amazing with the kiddos and do a great job with showing them how math can actually be fun. My son enjoys going and it’s so uplifting to see his confidence grow after every session! 10/10 would definitely recommend!
My kids really enjoy going to mathnasium! They look forward to it every week. Their math skills have grown so much since they started. Amy especially has been fantastic with my youngest. He started going when he was 5. He has a lot emotions when he doesn't understand something and Amy is super patient and creative with him. We've been members here for almost a year and have no plans to leave. Thanks so much for the amazing work you all do!
Our 8 year old son has been attending Mathnasium for about 2 months and we've seen his interest and excitement in math grow immensely during this short time. As a teacher myself, this is more important to me than how quickly he is catching on to the concepts and progressing. He really enjoys going to the sessions and looks forward to them. The staff is welcoming and professional and he seems very comfortable there. He loves the daily little prizes or events and of course enjoys the candy LOL. In his own words, he says that he really enjoys going to Mathnasium because it is very "civilized and quiet and he can concentrate", which he finds difficult at school because it's a highly social environment and very busy in lots of other ways. Zee, the center director, does a great job of balancing the work with the kids and the parents and is always available for questions.
