the variety. What I like the most is the good atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanness of the facility. The pool is always super clean,
The group class instructors are amazing. They get to know you on a personal level, are always on time and do an awesome job. I always have the best workouts in group classes!
Parents night out is also a huge plus for my family! My kids love it and it gives us a nice break knowing our kids are in a safe environment.
Senior activities and trips.
Family friendly and for kids
Yoga, swimming and free classes are my favorites.
I like the personal training options as well
Great instructors and programs that meet my needs.
The fact that your schedule times are consistent. The people are really nice also.
Great selection for family.
Parents Night Out and regular child care.
The childcare and variety of classes available.
The locker rooms are very clean. My only complaint is that the whirlpool jets are always broken or weak at best.
Very good facility!
I love the instructors!! They are the kindest, most knowledgeable and supportive people!! Kelly, Carrie, and Antoinette (Toni) are my heroes! I love the variety of classes the Y offers, too! My only constructive criticism would be that I wish there were more pilates classes and more variety for the early morning before work classes.
Friendly instructors
Th scum and equipment very clean areas to workout and friendly environment
Various times to fit any schedule
It is clean. Machines are great. Never have to wait for one. Everyone is friendly
I like the variety of activities available to members.
Positives:
Group fitness classes especially the cardio and strength classes. I wish that there were more evening class options for strength and cardio work.
The instructors; they are respectful and welcoming and connect members with one another because they care
Equipment; we have a great selection of equipment and it’s in mostly great shape. We could use more equipment like the small bender balls, kettlebells, dumbbells that are 17 pounds and greater, BOSU and the large Swiss balls because we often run out of this equipment during classes that are packed with people.
Class variety; there are several options to choose from. I would like to see more classes or programs offered for children aged 5 and up like a kids yoga class, karate, kids stretch and mobility class, and an obstacle course class. Also I like to see more evening strength type classes for members.
Negatives:
The closets in the weight and exercise rooms get very dusty and aren’t cleaned often by custodial staff. Also some equipment doesn’t have proper storage or the storage is inadequate like in the small group area where the weights are kept on too small of a weight rack.
Floors; the black padded floor area of the small group area is often dirty and not cleaned well and often by custodial staff. The group exercise room wood floor is another area of concern. The floor is swept but not washed or damp mopped often enough.

Lastly, it is a negative is when the Y instructors are not professional with their class start and end times. Most classes run back to back so it’s vital for ALL instructors to end class early enough for the next instructor to enter and set up the next class.
I normally play basketball at this location and have met some awesome people that have lead to friendships. My family enjoy working out together and running on the track. There many programs available for the entire family.
I love the variety and the times work well with my work and family schedule. I love my instructors— Toni Mc is such a great teacher as she is detailed in the way she describes the proper way to stretch and do the exercise. My favorite! I also love Becky (Rebecca) and her barre fusion class. I plan to add a yoga class from her. She also explains muscle groups well. Not to forget Carrie and Erin — they are encouraging and good instructors! And last but definitely not least, I love my Zumba class with Nancy. She is a great dancer and instructor.
Great access to equipment and programs.
30 is always neat and clean, all the employees are very nice and helpful, and there are lots of different types of classes available!

That everything is organized and you have many choices
Enjoy the classes
I like the youth programs. Such a wide variety.
At the Forsyth County YMCA, my wife and I primarily use the weight room and the pool. The weight room has everything we need to do our circuit training. My wife is starting to take a few of the classes being offered. We have children who are 8, 5, and 1 and the young adults/teens who watch them are amazing. Our kids want to go to the gym so they are treated so well. Additionally, the staff who works at the desk are always pleasant and welcoming.
Willy especially is someone who my kids love seeing. My daughters especially. One year ago, there was a fire alarm that went off and we had to wait outside until the fire department gave the all clear. Because we had to go outside so quickly, my daughter did not have a jacket and Willy offered his to her while we waited. His act of kindness is something we see from all of the staff.
We left the Y after being at another gym for 2 years and we will likely not leave again because of the consistent nature and people who run the Forsyth County YMCA.
Not me. my wife like a program's and activity.

Wide variety of things to do.
