Variety. I love the pool and all the wonderful equipment for water aerobics. It’s just a litter scary that lifeguards are on their phones so much while on duty.

I've really enjoyed my membership. I gotten to go to several different classes. All of the instructors are great. The facility is clean and very inviting.
The staff is very welcoming as well those in the lobby as the coaches for the group exercices. The coaches encourage everyone while respecting everyone's limitations.
John-Clayton's move to the YMCA in Decatur is a great loss for the Cowart Family YMCA, but a great gain for his new YMCA. He was always ready to help kindly in any circumstance (such as reserving a place in the swimming pool for me on my iphone, because I had a hard to remember each step to perform on my iphone.
I am sorry that the Cowart Family YMCA does not organize anymore a yearly fundraising through a running race. Miki told me that it was that no enough patrons were interested. I should say that it would be important first to get in contact with the Brookhaven police department to be sure that there is not another race on the same day or previous day (the Duck, Duck, Goose Race at Murphey Candler Park happens also in October and must have coincided, one year, on the same week-end). Then, more people would be interested. Also, one year, the YMCA race was planned on the day of the saving time changed. It is important to take count of this too.
The classes for seniors are frequent on the schedule
Love how committed and positive all the staff are. Facilities and class offerings are also great. It is community at its best!

I typically use the fitness center and the staff is very friendly and helpful when I have a question. The staff is always walking through the fitness center talking to members and cleaning equipment.
Y is a great place for the whole family! A great people, programs and a perfect place to stay fit.
Personally, I would strongly encourage and recommend everyone who has not been to the Y yet to go and pay a visit and do a tour! You will love it!

Swimming reservations
I didn’t participate in any programs. Like that this Y is larger and there are so many lap lanes in pool.
Great pool with good lane availability. Nice locker room.
My husband, Kip, absolutely loves the fitness center! He has met great friends there and loves the leaders and coaches and most of all the great supporters of the YNCA!
They are very friendly to those with disabilities, and the Y goes out of its way to help people in need both physically and financially

Pickleball … but players are finding it difficult to see in the gym because of the current lighting and the glare through the front windows. We have requested an update to LED fixtures similar to what they did at Fowler about a year ago, and they are asking for a shading application to the lights on the wall coming to the parking lot. It is particularly bad in the fall. Some are beginning to play at the Dunwoody Baptist Wellness Center because of the lighting. It is a pay to play facility.
