The Andrew Young/Walter Young Y on Campbellton Rd., is my spot. I visit other Y’s occasionally, but there is nothing like home. Our facility is neat, clean, & organized…our staff is top notch. Everyone, from the receptionist, to the Instructors, to the Wellness crew, to the clean up workers, are all friendly, professional, & courteous. I spend, on the average, 4 out of 7 days at the Campbellton Y, doing water aerobics, riding the stationary bike, & lifting weights. My Wellness coach is Jerome Bailey. My water aerobics instructors are Juanita, Diane, Debra, Eloise, & Linda…they are all great. Wellness coach Joyce, facilitates good & informative seminars.
The YMCA @ Andrew Young is a place where you can learn to adopt a healthy life style via changing your physical practices by excercising the body, mind and spirit. It’s also a place where you can learn to eat healthier and one of the best benefits is you can develop life long friendships! Overall it’s a wonderful place to be a part of! It’s a place where I look forward to be every week! The instructors are the best. They really do care about everyone…..it’s a family gathering each day you are there! Right now I'm just enjoying the weight room, the indoor track and yoga but I have several more classes that I'm planning to take.
I would really like to see a Tai Chi class offered though. I would really like to learn but the classes offered by other Y's are too far away.

The front desk staff is friendly, the Instructors are AMAZEballs awesome, the facility is lovely and everyone has been friendly and welcoming.

The Senior population is ELATED that we now have SEVERAL water aerobics classes to attend every day of the week. Thanks to Joyce Fitzpatrick for "making this happen" It's been a long time coming.
We also have SEVERAL beneficial land classes as well.
Added bonus is the AOA program for Seniors (Active older adults)
Double added bonus: We are NOW open until 9:00 p.m. most evenings!!!
YAY!!! Been around the Young YMCA since 1992; first as an employee, then volunteer, now a Senior member!!! LOVE LOVE love this YMCA!!
