I enjoy the variety of classes that the Y offers. They have classes for all ages. Plus, the weight room, pickleball, and plenty of cardio equipment make it a great place to work out. The employees are friendly and very helpful.

What I LOVE about the YMCA is the warm spirit that so freely flows through the building as

YMCA is a great place to work out and take part in different activities. I’ve mostly been joining the Zumba classes, and there are two instructors, Shereen and Aditi, who are amazing. I had never attended such energetic and enjoyable classes before. They bring great energy, and their sessions are always very satisfying. The whole staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Thank you to YMCA for giving us this great opportunity, and special thanks to these wonderful instructors.

Clean and easy access to the pool and equipment
The Y has many instructor lead classes to choose from as well as a workout room, gym, and pool.
i like the facility and that it is in a wooded area. Not thrilled about all the teenagers loitering in the weight room and wearing flip flops or crocs to workout. Most of the staff is nice. the swim coaches are kind of jerks, but the lifeguards always make sure the members get priority in the designated lap lanes.
You have many different programs for all age group and easy to join them ,also you’re not intimidated on the exercise floor ,as you can do exercise according to your needs and capabilities .

The steam room is wonderful. It is the best steam I have ever used. It is consistently hot and humid. I live in Dunwoody but use the Alpharetta YMCA due to work. Yesterday I used the Cowart YMCA for the first time. Their steam room was not as good.
I also like the fact that all the machines in the weight room are well maintained and always working.
They have recently opened up the climbing wall floor to exercising. That is awesome. I am a spinal cord injury patient. I do lumbar physical therapy several days a week and this room is EXCELLENT for doing my lumbar PT. There is plenty of space to do the motion exercises and the floor is soft and padded.
I only use the cardio and weight equipment, and it's all good. There's one annoying thing about this workout room though - people looking at their phone for a long time while sitting on excersize equipment. A few signs would be helpful.
