The classes, teachers, child watch, front desk staff
It’s all about community :)
i like almost everything about the Y. Thanks for all y'all do.
Things to improve:
1) mens locker room
2) more spin classes, with more styles of leaders (I miss Scott from years ago)
3) parking
4) get one (or more!) of those curved treadmills.
5) more floor mat space
Thanks!
Fun, big, friendly Y
I like the laid back and accepting manner the classes are run in. You can do as much or as littleas you want and not feel pressured.
Seem to offer a variety of workout options.
I love the Chi Gong and the Range of Motion Water Exercise. I like the community vibe.
The flexible schedule
Very welcoming space and friendly staff, especially front desk staff.
We love the yoga classes, Elizabeth and Sarah.
I recently moved from Dripping Springs and I've only used the weight room so far. The space there is large enough and organized and has all the equipment I need. I love the central location.
Love the pool and water aerobics classes.
The diversity of programs and at a fairly good location
The childcare center is fantastic. Of all the years I've been a member, I never had a bad experience.
They are plentiful and cover a great variety of activities. They are also adapted to all ages from the childcare offered to the most aged among us. Best of all it takes place in a pleasant atmosphere in a well maintained facility.
Boot camp. I like the friendly instructors and the fact they've kept my husband and I interested in getting up early a couple times a week since January. Each day is a different workout and the instructor makes it fun with music and good humor.
Multiple programs
Weight machines and Arc Trainers
Excellent programs for seniors. Every yoga instructor I've met at the Townlake Y is top-notch.
The instructors are fabulous. Shout out to Q and Elizabeth.
I mostly use the workout facilities -- and like that it is a collection of *real* people working out. No people who seem to be on steroids and grunting a lot. I am planning on using the YMCA soon to learn boxing as a supplement to my cardio workout.
I like that you offer 30min classes
All ages, wide variety
All yoga instructors have been great
I mainly work out at the Y, using the weight machines downstairs and/or the treadmills upstairs, about three times a week. But I also occasionally like to sit in the lobby upstairs while reading the newspaper before working out. I especially enjoy the Friday morning singers and musicians in the lobby. But the best aspect of the Y in my view is the always-friendly atmosphere among the very diverse membership.
The community of friends and families. We are all trying to stay healthy and the Townlake Y I believe tries to work with all ages.
So many different activities to choose from.
Very friendly people and staff.
Zumba is my favorite.
Weight machines are excellent, morning basketball group is great
Pick up full court basketball
I have been a member for years but just started taking spin classes 2 years ago. The teachers, especially Tony, Genevieve and Becca are so positive. I get a great workout and it’s fun! They foster a sense of community.

Love the diversity, community, and availability of the Y. Only wish ther would be more hours available during the weekend! :)
