I have been very please with the staff of mathnasium bending backwards for my kids learning. I especially appreciate Chris ( owner) always trying to accommodate my son’s unique learning method. I would definitely recommend this place for kids to learn math!

Mathnasium of Alameda was very good for our daughter. She had a lot of adjustments to make and they worked with her to do so.

She especially loved the spinning wheel activity that she did to get prices at her classes.

We have seen a complete 180 in our child’s attitude. She had become fearful of math, and lost all interest. Since going to Mathnasium for only a month, she approaches math with a smile and determination to succeed. I can’t wait to see how the tools she is learning from Mathnasium impact her efforts and results during the school year.

We knew our son was behind, but none of his teachers were able to pinpoint the exact areas he was struggling in. Mathnasium was able to do just that, and design a custom plan to help him catch up. He loves the program, and looks forward to going. He is showing more confidence in math now, and has commented how they teach him in a way that he can understand. I am so glad we signed up.

We have had very positive experiences with Mathnasium, first in Scotts Valley and then in
Alameda. My granddaughter was behind in Math and resistant to homework and also to any help from family members. I convinced her to try Mathnasium and since then she always wants to go and seem engaged for the full hour. I think they have a good system for building confidence. She gets excited about learning a new way to solving a problem and will talk about it on the way home. I also appreciate the way they take learning basic concepts seriously and will keep coming back to those to ensure they are solid. Both Peter in Scotts Valley and Chris in Alameda seem to always have time to update me on her progress and also listen to my concerns.

I think this is a great program that does a great job at recognizing what each individual student needs. The incentive program is a big winner for my child and really helps her stay motivated.

Our students and teachers are struggling with the challenges of the new Eureka model for Math education. Mathnasium has been a welcome reprieve for us using standard computational lessons and folding them into Eureka's format. Our child has a much better concept for math under both models since joining Mathnasium.

Chris really cares about the kids and is eager to share their progress with the family. The staff is courteous and flexible and my two girls have had a positive experience with Math and learning here. The reward system seems fun and my kids have enjoyed the extended hours and game time.
