Everything! Saved my daughter from just drowning in school. The Huntington instructors and staff are so professional and positive and they have over 2,000 pieces of curricula to provide individualized and adaptive programs for each student. We tried private tutors and it just wasn’t enough to get my daughter where she needs to be to have a successful educational future. As a teacher, I tried to work with my own child but that didn’t work! Fortunately, my background helps me appreciate just how much Huntington does in a short period of time. It was a little more expensive than other options but absolutely worth every cent and every trip to get her to the center. Other options wasted time and money that we can’t get back. We are all so happy with our decision to have sent our daughter to Huntington and plan to return for college prep exams!
The structure has been great for our daughter. Her confidence is growing in vocabulary and writing more detailed thoughts. She has really enjoyed Ms. Amber as a teacher.
My son has had a great experience preparing for high-school entrance exams at Huntington Learning Center. He has grown tremendously in terms of his proficiency in both English and Math. He has also learned valuable testing strategies. I love how the program is tailored to his specific needs. The teachers and staff are responsive and supportive.
Good program and very helping for students
We had a great experience with Huntington in Ramsey. Cara and her staff did an excellent job getting our less than enthusiastic son on board for ACT tutoring this summer. His tutors were fantastic and Cara and Samantha were flexible and always responsive when we needed to change his schedule. He improved consistently with his practice tests and made significant progress. By the end of the summer, he told us he learned a lot, it wasn't as bad as he anticipated, and driving himself to the Ramsey location (from Ridgewood) was a great time to relax and listen to music. We highly recommend Huntington Learning Center in Ramsey!
I like that Huntington personalizes the lesson plans based on the student's needs and goals. I also like that my daughter learns with instructors who have a college degree.
Our son's ACT prep was individualized for the areas he needed the most help in and not only did he improve in the challenging area but many of the other topics too. His tutor was matched really well and very knowledgeable and approachable. We are positive this 5 week course will improve his test score and was an important investment.

Comprehensive assessment, report and review of test results. I was able to see where there were gaps in foundational skills. My child does not mind going and I can tell that after a couple weeks he is showing more awareness and improving preliteracy skills.
During the school year the staff is so supportive and will attend school meetings with the parents to help share information that helps the student in the class.
I appreciate the consistency and I am seeing the benefits of money as it relates to my daughter's education!
I like the initial standardized testing to know where the student is, the personalized program planning, monitoring of progress and periodic feedback to parents.
Everything are precise. People know what they were doing, 100% professionals! The approach they used was very scientific, not just teaching my child but also understanding her as well, and her weaknesses and strengths. Not just business people, most importantly educators. After 2-1/2 years of this Covid mess, my son was assessed at a 6th grade level in math and is entering 9th grade. He actually enjoys going to Huntington where he has spent roughly 6 hours per week throughout the summer trying to catch up. After almost every session he mentions he has learned something new that he had seen before in school but didn’t understand. The instructors have definitely made a connection with my son in their teaching methods. He is gaining the confidence and knowledge in math he needs to succeed which make him want to continue attending. I wish we would have considered Huntington sooner. Huntington will be an great asset for my son going forward through high school. Thank you Huntington.
