My 6th grade daughter completely dreaded math until she started going to Mathnasium over four months ago. Initially she was apprehensive about going but once she saw how helpful the tutors were at making sure she understood the concepts, she started telling me to leave her there for longer that the hour I was planning on so she could get more work done! We found the initial Evaluation to be a great starting point. Identifying levels of understanding and topics to focus on for improvement.
One hour per session seems to be the right amount of focus time.
Work is at own pace, but someone is rotating in and out as support, it's all very natural, comfortable environment for learning, with content structure for each individual student.
We find Mathusium to be just right even though our 11 year old Grandson does not fully understand the impact on his future at this point.
We would highly recommend Mathusium Stuart, Florida.

We couldn't be happier with Nelson and his group of tutors in Stuart, FL. Our daughter is going into 10th grade this fall (after home schooling her entire life!) She was a little nervous about the testing (EOC & PERT). After only a month and a half of going to Mathnasium, she is feeling more confident than ever. She WANTS to go! And she's learning more rapidly than even I anticipated. She raves about the tutors and the patience and knowledge they exert. Mathnasium in Stuart, Florida has been a tremendous help to my daughter. She has struggled with math for many years, and was the one who insisted that I inquire about the "Mathnasium" concept.
Well, I am so glad we did. She started about a month ago, and already her math scores have improved.
Nelson, the Director, is wonderful. Since the first day, he has been invested in her progress. He has reached out to her teacher, and has kept the lines of communication open.
She actually asks to go to Mathnasium, because it has made this part of learning fun for her.
I cannot say enough good things, and I continue to be amazed at her progress.

Being able to monitor and track progress in lesson content is wonderful! I love the bright and calm work environment, as well.

I feel great that I can bring in my son’s unit agenda for the tutors to utilize when giving him practice work. I helps tremendously by keeping him on schedule with his class! This way he is reinforcing the topics that he is currently learning.

Very Happy with the structure and organization my daughter is receiving from staff to develop mastery of her core skills, in addition to getting help with her homework and test preparation. My daughter has made great progress in just a short period of time. The sense of accomplishment and achievement she feels because of the superb instruction and reinforcement she receives at Mathnasium has been well worth it.

I have seen significant changes in my daughter’s understanding and attitude towards math since she started at Mathnasium. The tutors are patient and encouraging. Mr. Nelson has also been wonderful at communicating to me, what my daughter is working on and what she has excelled in. It is encouraging to watch my daughters confidence soar. I am so glad we found Mathnasium.

Our daughter has struggled with math through elementary school. Her 4th grade teacher was so concerned she talked to us about holding her back a year. We took her to Mathnasium 2-4 times a week for a total of six months. She enjoyed the calm environment, personal instruction, improved confidence and sense of accomplishment. Dr. Nelson Massad is phenomenal. He is so patient with the students and uses Mathnasium system to focus on the areas of concern for each child. We highly recommend Mathnasium in Stuart, FL!

We have used the services of Mathnasium for one year now. As they promised, they assessed my son to determine which skills he was lacking, they developed a comprehensive and strategic plan to address those gaps and went to work. A year later, Micah is more confident and preparing to tackle Algebra 1 in a few short weeks. Nelson has been very intentional, encouraging and supportive. We regularly discuss his progress and find ways to tag team in order that we might help Micah progress quickly without frustrating him. Nelson continues to demonstrate, above all, that he sincerely cares about my son’s heart, morale, and confidence. It’s not just about math. He genuinely strives to apply a “whole child” approach to ensure success for Micah.

I appreciate the “above and beyond” response to our requests to have our child work on mental skills related to math. Besides covering math material, we’ve asked for the tutors to make sure our child works on doing math in her head rather than writing everything down and to help her develop the habit of checking her work. We see our child’s progress on all of these fronts.

My daughter needed major refreshers in math for her ACT/SAT exams. I love how Mathnasium of Stuart created a specific study plan for her. Nelson was great about keeping in touch with me to make sure my daughter's needs were properly being met. I am thrilled to report that her Math ACT score improved from 21 to 27, bringing her final overall score to a 29! Her SAT math score improved from 540 to 640! We are thrilled with our Mathnasium experience.
