Wonderful yoga class with a beautiful flow - just the right amount of challenge
i love th area but moremore i love the teachers!! specially Dany i really liked it his class !!! i can wait fot to take the next one with him!!!
I love everything about CorePower EXCEPT tonight, Morgan M subbed for Dani’s class at 7pm and it truly was the worst class ever. I’ve been to over 200 classes with my all-access and I’ve never seen anything like this. I saw a girl in front of me raise her hand in confusion and I connected with a fellow instructor who I love who was taking the class and we both felt the same way. Here’s what was wrong with Morgan M as an instructor:
1. Lack of safety - she did not give any voiceover on movements’ safety considerations. Look up to the left if you’re bending right, keep your head above your heart, keep arms bent with weights, nothing. There were many awkward silences after upward facing dog, people were just doing downdog, it was extremely disorienting.
2. Can’t count - she went OFTEN from 8 to 7 to 5. Do you understand there’s a 6 in between? Then, she went from 8 to 7 to 6 to 4, skipping 5.
3. Beat is off. I believe in teacher training, they tell you the beat needs to be the same between every count. She would speed through 8,7 and then take a long beat between 5,4,3. Like what?!?!! It was unbelievable. She did this for so many moves. These feel like basic teacher expectations.
Overall, I could’ve taught the class better and I’m not a teacher. I can count to the same beat. It was such a negative experience and I urge you and the CPY team to put her through training again or let her go from your brand. I work in strategy consulting, in retail strategy and marketing and it can be very damaging to your brand when so many loyal users have experiences like this. I’m happy to speak further on the phone if you’d like. I want to help make CPY the great community that I love.
Great amount of space and sunlight!
Class was incredible. The sequence was hard, but she pushed us to keep up and had an excellent playlist. I wish I had the entire experience on demand.
I love CorePowerYoga instructors. Guaranteed to always have an awesome class!
Have had an amazing and supportive free week at the studio. Felt so welcomed. The studio was so nice and clean. Great instructors and energy and playlists
Definitely worth a try!
I love the teachers at Corepower! there is such a diverse group of teachers who specialize in certain types of yoga classes. Everyone is very welcoming and it makes coming to class fun. I especially love the harder Y2 classes, ESPECIALLY with music!! It makes yoga much more lively and Ilove leaving class feeling tired. The more difficult the classes the better!
Shannon was a great teacher - it was tough but in a good way
I love the instructors at the NYC Williamsburg studio and the new StrengthX classes! I've been a black tag member for about 10 years now and the new options helped me decide to continue my membership.
I would love if Corepower added even more class variety, like:
-HIIT classes
-circuits with bosu balance trainers, sliders, benches, etc. so we can do new/different exercises
I've also noticed the studios in NYC only have one mirrored wall, while the ones in Austin and Boulder have two mirrored walls and usually a full windowed wall. Since the NYC studios are typically smaller and without windows, a second mirrored wall would be really nice to have / help the space feel bigger.
Thank you for your consideration!
From the instructors to the classes, everything is great!
They were great! Warm and friendly and class was perfect
love all classes
I loooooved Lauren Trainer the instructor. I don't typically see her on the schedule at Williamsburg, but would love to have here there again soon. :-)
The Instructor made it clear when I showed up that any level is ok and that child’s pose is always there if I need it. And gold energy through the class!
Just amazing
I love the teachers! I feel very welcomed at the core power studio. The only thing I would change is identifying if a class for C2 is music based or not. It’s a very different vibe if you’re expecting music with words vs. instrumentals.
I love the hot yoga classes The instructors are very friendly. The movements are not hard to do
I was a visitor from studios in LA and I had such an amazing time at core willamsburg! Will definitely make it a part of my nyc trips going forward. the music was so fun, nice and challenging movements and i loved the instructor victoria!
Nice studio. Great yoga 3 class and instructor.
Best team best vibes! Grateful for y'all <3
I have tried yoga and Pilates, but I didn’t like them as much as I did CorePower Yoga. From the first try, I fell in love with this practice because, from my perspective, it’s a combination of both, plus weights (using dumbbells), and the heat is the cherry on top if you like to challenge yourself with every workout. You’ll feel great at the end!
Awesome instructors and helpful staff!
I love these classes! But the space is simply too small for the demand in Brooklyn. It is mind boggling to me that CPY doesn’t have another Brooklyn location. Please consider! Thank you :)
Amazing experience
I love a few of the instructors! Mette B, Shannon B and Dani C.
I prefer when the room gets a bit of incense between class because it drowns out the sweat and smell of the yoga mats. I appreciate if instructors would consider doing that ahead of each class
Love it!!! Amazing supportive community. Excellent instructors!
instructor was great

I love the CorePower classes -- such a good workout! My favorite class is Brittney W's class -- it just can't be beat. Her playlists are fire (her music makes break out dancing in class) and the community feel you get when you step into her Sunday 9am class is unmatched.
