We recently bought our 2025 Thor Chateau 22E from General RV, and the experience has been outstanding from start to finish.
Adam was our salesman — straightforward, honest, and easy to talk to. No pressure, no upselling games. What really stood out is that Adam is an experienced RV camper himself, specifically with Class C motorhomes. His advice wasn’t just sales training—it came from real-world experience, which gave us a lot of confidence as first-time motorhome owners. He was patient, loaded us up with useful information, and even followed up after the sale to offer tips and answer questions while we were out on our first trip. That’s the kind of service that actually matters.
Bo, the sales manager, kept the same tone: friendly, professional, and no high-pressure nonsense. He made the paperwork side feel easy instead of overwhelming.
Colby in finance was great too—he walked us through everything, answered every question, and made the financing process as painless as possible. No smoke and mirrors, just clear communication.
Another thing that really struck us: everyone we dealt with—from service to make-ready to parts—actually had real-world RV experience. They weren’t just reading manuals; they understood RV life and it showed. It made us feel like we were in good hands, and so far, that’s exactly how it’s turned out.
Bottom line: I would gladly recommend General RV to friends and family. It’s been a great experience and a great start to this next chapter for our family.
When I walked into the Ashland Virginia store, I felt like I was already part of the General RV family. Everyone was so incredibly warm, inviting and accommodating, and so pleasant I regret ever going anywhere else. From online sales with Greg, financial advisor Seth to the amazing people in the store and service department I was treated with kindness and respect. General RV has not forgotten what customer service is and went on to redefine the RV business as a family friendly affair. All my heartfelt thanks to all of Ashland, VA associates and online associates who made this experience heaven sent. 🥰😇
Overall, it was a good experience! We were told things would be moved from our old camper to the new one, and they were not. It was pouring the day we were picking up our new RV. We never received our saddle bags from the old camper sway bar system!
Everyone was friendly and listened to our needs and answered all our questions. This is our second purchase with General RV in Richmond. We will continue to do business with them in the future.
Easy to work with, honest, professional, not high pressure sales, and could explain all my questions with good answers. They took me on time, I was on the road and had an issue, they were waiting for my arrival. I go to General in numerous states.
