Our son has been going to mathnasium in North La Mesa now for two years. The staff is wonderful, understanding and patient. I see him go into school more confident and participate in the classroom because mathnasium has given him the tools to understand what is going on. Our daughter loves going to Mathnasium. She enjoys being taught by instructors who make Math fun. There are no more tears during Math homework. She can be the boss of her work without my help. Tommy has done a wonderful job hiring excellent employees. And I am so thankful.
We really appreciate the reinforcement of all of the necessary math concepts that are reviewed that align with the Common Core. It helps us keep our student on track at school. I think having the prizes helps keep the kids motivated and working towards a goal.
Although most times the lessons are productive and extremely useful, sometimes I do wish that the teachers could help our student stay focused and on tasks during challenging sessions.

My daughter was in the 7th grade and struggling in math. My husband drove past Mathnasium on his way to work and mentioned it to me. I made an appointment for her to be evaluated and have not looked back since. They identified all of the areas where she needed help and set up a plan to get her back on track and ready for high school. She used to shy away from anything math-related and now she's confident in her skills and able to actively participate in class. I recommend Mathnasium to everyone who asks me where she goes for her tutoring. Everyone at the North La Mesa branch is a pleasure to work with, for myself and my daughter.
