I really like the fact that you use the electronic systems available to you so well to communicate with your employees and that they too have access to you through these beneficial systems also.
I was really impressed by the fast response received by most departments when I reached out for assistance. The easy way of clocking in and out, even when the client's phone may not be working well, your private cellphone can be used.
I liked the staff's hands-on attitude with the clients so that the caregiver didn't feel isolated on the job. Others were being kept abreast of the patient's improvement/decline. It made me feel safe and a part of a team working towards the benefit of the client.
All in all it was a pleasant experience.
With regards to what I would love to see improved, that would be the opportunity for the advancement of your employees. Some of us have the desire and even the skills already to improve our work status. Companions could very well be HHAs and HHAs Nursing Assistants. However we don't have the certification. If there was some service made available to get that accomplished (even a joint-venture with Visiting Nurses) Senior Helpers would be the agency to go to!
