"Our" senior helper has been a god-send. My neighbor always tells me about the day's activities. In the initial meeting, we were asked what my neighbor enjoyed doing and our helper has done her best to accommodate these. Because my neighbor is sadly becoming more and more forgetful, the helper stays in touch to let me know what she has noticed so that we can start thinking about the ways in which we can better help.

It offers flexibility; we have a regular schedule of 2, 4 hour sessions on specific days and times but within reason, these can be adjusted for appointments etc. There is the security of knowing we can have someone assist for additional and extended periods as well.
