We started to research math "tutorial/instructional" establishments last spring when it became clear that our son's math anxiety was not decreasing. Although he has always been an A student, the stress he was enduring was definitely weighing on him. After meeting the instructors at Mathnasium, he was open to trying it. After a few sessions, he was actually enthusiastic about it. Our son's math anxiety has not completely dissipated. However, he is significantly more confident, and his stress level prior to tests has decreased as well.

I can honestly say that our son has never complained about attending a session. Anyone with a high school student would probably agree that speaks volumes.

The McCandless Mathnasium is a great place to help your kid find math confidence. My son was usually excited to go (except when he had to get off the XBox to leave for the appointment). He loved interacting with the staff and gaining enrichment in so many areas. The prizes were a definite bonus. I highly recommend sending your student here.

Great program!

We love Mathnasium. It has helped our daughter so much. Our only "want" is to be able to start appointments on the 1/2 hour as well, scheduling can be tricky with only on the hour options.

Great resource to strengthen and extend math skills. Teachers are very good and personable.

During the pandemic and modified classes, Mathnasium was invaluable for our daughter's success in her math and physics classes.

Dylan asked what my daughter was interested in so he and other tutors could talk with her about her favorite teams and players. This kindness has made all the difference.

I am not sure what magic they practice at Mathnasium, but whatever it is it WORKS - my kids no longer 'hate' math and they are so much more confident and their grades have skyrocketed!

As a parent, you always hope your kids will be happy with programs you choose for them, especially participating in tutoring and excelling. We have been at Mathnasium for a month now and my son is always excited on session days! He loves going in and completing his assignments. He really loves the incentive program for the kids, too. I would recommend this program to others looking for a little help, or the extra edge, when it comes to math!

Mathmasium has given my 10 year old so much confidence in math. They have have provided him with tips to help navigate the information provided within a problem and the opportunity to practice those tools over and over again. My son is happy to do math! Because of mathnasium. He often complains leaving a mathnasuim appointment about how long it took to do 3 pages of ling division, but he absolutely loves and jumps at the chance to show people that he knows how to do long division. My child has adhd and the reward system in place is so rewarding for him! He loves the instant gratification he gets from working hard! And I love that the rewards are just enough out of reach that he is constantly pushing more and doesn't realize it.

My 11 year old daughter struggles so much with math. There are other contributing comprehension issues that are involved as well, but Math is extremely confusing for her.
Since coming to Mathnasium I have seen her not only her approach towards math improve, but she has also become more independent in her work. There are times at home when we are working on math and she will cruise right through some problems, where prior she would give up before she even started. When I ask her how she did that, she replies, “They taught me this at math.” She seems very proud of herself.
This is huge in my book. The tutors seem very patient with her to go at a slower pace and it is definitely helping to improve not only her comprehension, but confidence.

Dylan is fantastic!

Dylan is always so responsive and it is easy to make appointments or change them. Our son is not a huge math fan, but he never complains about having to go in and learn. The instructors know when to give him time and when to challenge the students. Our son has more confidence since he has been getting help.
