When my dog nearly died of an autoimmune attack they gave him the Bio Sponge while he was in intensive care. It helped control the diarrhea caused by the medications he was taking without the dangers caused by the metronidizole. I now keep it on hand at all times and it has been a godsend when I have boarding dogs who develop loose stools due to the stress of the new environment here.
It has become a mainstay in my canine medicine cabinet.
