Overall TruGreen has done a great job treating my trees/shrubs for several years now. While there have been a couple of occasions where there were problems with treatments as they have struggled like many companies in finding good staff, they have always done a great job following up if necessary.
Today Shawn Wears was out for my tree/shrub treatment. Shawn does a fantastic job. He is very customer oriented, professional, friendly, and a pleasure to speak with. He strikes the correct balance of providing great customer service, while still maintaining the appropriate responsibility and employee consideration for the TruGreen business. He shows great concern for my property and makes appropriate recommendations for what I need and do not need. He has established a great deal of trust from me over the years as I know he will be honest and do what is right. That's great to see.
Shawn knows that good customer relationships are what retains customers. And in turn, those customers pass the word on to others with respect to their TruGreen services. I've often had people walking by commenting on my lawn or trees and have been quick to indicate that TruGreen provides my services.
My two areas of concern with TruGreen. First of all, their scheduling system has been very challenging to deal with over the past several years by both the customers and their staff. Often scheduled dates ended up getting moved out by several weeks, with no apparent explanation/reason. I have recently seen some changes, and hopefully those continue and improve the system. The second area of concern has been due to staffing challenges. Far too often I've had a different person servicing my lawn or trees, and that makes it very difficult to track any issues appropriately and also to establish a customer trust relationship. So hopefully TruGreen continues to work and improve in these areas.
Overall, TruGreen has done an excellent job with my property over the years. They do stand behind their guarantee and will correct issues where appropriate. Based on my experiences, and due to folks like Shawn being an example to other staff, I can recommend TruGreen for lawn and tree/shrub services.
While at times there have been techs that did a subpar job and reduces my trust, overall things have gone well. TruGreen will stand behind their services. I know that it is challenging to find good workers, so definitely want to recognize those that are doing a fantastic job. Today for my lawn service, Grace H. was the tech. She was very personable, professional and courteous. She explained the treatment today and asked if I had any questions/problems. She was extremely efficient in doing her job (she was working hard), and was also doing a great job training a new hire and working on my lawn in tandem with him. She's definitely a keeper. Give her a huge pat on the back!
It appears that the TruGreen scheduling system has had some rework of the past couple of months. Some improvements thank goodness. Hopefully more to come, especially with keeping scheduled dates from floating all over into future weeks and causing too much time in between treatments. Crossing fingers.
Keep the improvements overall coming. My other concern is that the tech turnover has been huge the last several years, which has caused frequent changes in who is servicing my lawn and trees. That is frustrating as I do have certain things occurring that would be easier to deal with (and track) if I could get the same techs for my properly throughout the season (as much as possible).

We have used your services for over 10 years. Your people are polite and always efficient. They do not annoy anyone...they get the job done.
Everything was great. I just wish I would get notice of arrival the day before not day of and like 20 minutes. I have three dogs. I needed to close doggie door and open gate. They were here so early I almost didn't have time to get dressed to go out to open gate. So a little more notice would be great. Other than that the specialist are great and do a fine job. I highly recommend TruGreen for lawn care.
