Today, a TruGreen manager named Edwin Pizano did a wonderful and very reassuring thing. He sent out a man, named Jeff Gilly, to spray our Austrian pine trees. Mr. Gilly is a fabulous tree expert, and he sprayed our row of 4 Austrian pine trees, completely and expertly, with chemicals that will protect them from mould and fungi. He is also a joy to discuss our trees with, and offers lots of good and comforting advice, He was sent out because, unfortunately, we were not fully satisfied with the same task, performed a week earlier, by a different TruGreen employee. This showed us that Mr. Pizano was willing to please us, his customers of many years. We are grateful to him and so pleased that such a fine man is managing TruGreen in our area.

To Whom It May Concern:
Yesterday, your Specialist, Mr. Michael Hartsell, came out to service our Austrian Pines. What he did, and what he had to say about what he did, has us completely confused. First of all, our trees are not much taller than they were last year, or the two years before that, when your Mr. Jeff Gilly used to service our trees. We dearly miss Jeff Gilly, and we wish we could get him back, or at least someone who has been trained by him.
Mr. Hartsell sprayed only the bottom half of our 4 trees, aiming the spray at them and through them - away from our house and towards our back-neighbor’s house. He sprayed only half way up on both ends of the group of trees. When I questioned him about why he did such limited spraying, his words were, “It is too windy, and the wind is blowing towards your neighbor’s home. If I spray the top half, the chemicals would land on your neighbor’s home, and that would be illegal.
If it was in fact too windy, why did he not simply cancel the application and come out another day, when it is not windy?
Now, he sprayed the bottom half away from our home, and towards our neighbor’s home, and that, in his estimation, was alright – but not the top half. Why, then, could he not at least have sprayed them in full, top to bottom, from behind our pines and toward our home?
We feel that we paid for a full spraying of our Austrian Pines, and received only about ¼ of their surface being sprayed. This is something that never occurred during the first 3 years that we lived here, and in which all of the service was administered by Jeff Gilly.
In the printout that Mr. Hartsell left for us, it states that our trees have a disease called “needlecast,” and that “additional disease prevention sprays for needlecast may be required.”
Then, further down on the printout, he wrote: “Per our conversation we discussed the pines over back deck they have needlecast there is nothing we can do.”
Now, which is it? Is there “additional disease prevention for needlecast” or is there nothing TRUGREEN can do?
If this kind of service continues, we will be forced to search for other companies to service our trees. That would, of course, deeply sadden us – due to the fact that our relationship with TRUEGREEN extends back to the past 45 years, when we began with ChemLawn, then ChemLawn-TruGreen, and so on. We have always loved how your Mr. Cloud cared for out trees when we lived in Park Ridge, IL for 42 years.
We have had a wonderful relationship with TRUGREEN. Please have someone call us (preferably Jeff Gilly) to reassure us that the kind of service for which we chose TRUGREEN will return to us.

In all my years as a TruGreen customer, your Specialists always have comments about how to improve my lawn. I know TruGreen is always promoting their services, so I always just read the comments expecting them to try and sell another product. However, today was different! My Specialist, GARRETT KALENICK, wrote what applications he added to my lawn and stated that this was the "best lawn I've seen." No comments about improvements. No comments about other services or products I needed. Thank you, Garrett, for the compliment. It was truly appreciated!
At this point, I will recommend you. I called your office prior to the 5/22 service. I explained that I wasn't happy with the way my lawn looked and I wanted it documented that I'm giving TruGreen until early July for my lawn to look stellar. I've been with TruGreen for a LONG time and i felt it should look sweet by now. On 5/22 my wife was home and got to speak with your tech, Nick Karpinski. He was quite personable, knowledgeable and helpful with what we too, need to do to assist him in making sure our lawn turn out great. If this type of service continues and Nick is our man, I'll refer the heck out of TruGreen. Thank you!

We have creeping charlie still after 1yr with you. I hear it shard to get rid of i will need another weed control treatment in 2 wks otherwise i am very impressed with your service. And thanks for advice to your associate on how to obtain help with it.
