I am very pleased with the education that my son, Christian Joseph receives at Mathnasium. As a parent, and Calculus Teacher, I assumed that mathematics would naturally flow with my offspring, not so. I can recall a countless number of days that I have tried to help my son with his homework or even tried to teach him an easier way of understanding math and being so frustrated when he didn't get it then raising my voice, which only resulting in a complete shut down. I couldn't understand why I was not getting through to him, as I so effortlessly educate others and observe the growth of their mathematical competency and literacy.

I have achieved several degrees in life, including: Bachelors in Bio-Chemistry, Masters in Secondary Education and Masters in Pure Mathematics, as well as receiving various awards as an outstanding Mathematician; yet, I shamefully am unable to educate my own child and show him the beauty and logical reasoning skills that mathematics offer.

Mathnasium took on this task. In the beginning I was very skeptical, I said to myself, "Good luck trying to do what I am highly qualified to do but were unable to achieve." To my delight, the teachers were/are PHENOMENAL! They patiently work with my son, and even play games with him to help him understand and remember concepts. I wish that I could remember the names of two teachers, one in particular of who came to support my child at his Jazz Performance; but they are all very good and gracious, and are closing the mathematical gap that was present.

Esthma (I know that I butchered her name), who is the Director, has dealt so kindly with my family. She governs the program with compassion and understanding. I have witnessed this first hand as well as seeing her with other families and staff alike. She genuinely cares about the children and their families and offers suggestions and assistance when needed, even after the students hour/hour and a half are done.

I can go on and on about how great this center is and how effective they are at educating young minds but I'll just simply say that Mathnasium is the BEST kept and affordable secret on this side of the world!

Although most of the instructors have been quite good Asmaa has been the best. She is committed to doing all she can for the children. She goes beyond her job.
