Positive approach to learning
Sylvan is all about helping your child. They find out the problems by getting to know your child. Understanding there needs and difficulties. The problem may appear as something else at first but by getting past your childs block wall and finding the real difficulties in understanding their responsibilities.
My soon to be 5 year old is almost reading!!!! Great job instructors.
My daughter is very intelligent. She needed directed assistance for reading in the 5th grade. In 6 months at Sylvan she went from 5th grade reading level to 11th. She also came for college board prep. In 8th grade she got 22 on the ACT. She was national merit commended, got 1450 on SAT and 34 on ACT. I attribute part of her accomplishment to the help with how to take the tests as well as the content help.
They keep me very well informed on how well my son is improving . I was pleased with his progress in vocabulary. Can,t wait to see how the next testing goes.

Personal attention to the specific needs of the student
Very professional, very thorough with their feedback to us as parents...Set attainable goals for the kids and reward them right away for even the small stuff like getting a concept, working hard, improving on their test scores etc....My daughter went from a C in Math to an A. Sylvan got her back on track which was the ultimate goal.
The staff members are very willing to meet our needs, whether it be with schedule changes or tailoring curriculum to meet my daughter's needs.
I am hoping to get good results. I don't know yet, the results, but my grandchild seems more confidence
I like the flexibility. My son has really made a lot of progress. He was at least 2 or more grade levels behind and now he is at his 3rd grade level starting 4th grade. He is soooo excited. He is more interested in reading than he used to be and I dont fight him as much. Before he was just reading words and now he can understand a little more of what he is reading. Thanks for all you help.

Everytime we walk in the door we are treated like we literally are the most important customers you have. My 11 year old son (who struggles daily in school) can't WAIT to get to his study times because, in his words, "They think I'm really smart!" You can't put a price on that kind of confidence building.
