I was visiting from virginia beach, and this was my first time doing a 45 minute class. I was surprised at how many splat points I accumulated and how effective the workout seemed to be in just 45 minutes! The coach was also awesome! He kept the class motivated and everyone on track.

Great instructor, like the layout of the equipment, esp for a 3G class.

Your staff is incredible! From the front desk attendants to the our trainer, they were approachable and accommodating. The facility was clean and well maintained (even with the salt from outside), and the work out was just what I needed for a Saturday morning work out.

It's an awesome way to burn a ton of calories in a short amount of time. I just wish it was a little bit more affordable and more importantly, memberships worked cross-border as I'm Canadian but travel to the US often. That's the reason I can't join!

The instructor Jennifer is great. Explains the moves, corrects form, and offers encouragement to everyone.

I can't say enough good things about OT! I love the efficient 1 hour high energy workouts. The trainers are amazing. I have been a member for just over a year now and with these consistent workouts I have seen my fitness level improve dramatically! Can't wait to see more improvement in 2018!

It's never the same workout, and it's the most challenging workout I've ever done. Everyone on the staff is so friendly and helpful.

Always something new in the workouts
Actually feels like a community
Doesn’t feel like a competition of who is the hottest female like some boutique gyms but more of a support system for everyone to do their best
The coaches are awesome

I am obsessed the workout... I always take the time to let my studio know how much I love OTF! I’m constantly sharing OTF-related content on social media and have even inspired family members, friends, and coworkers to join studios. Honestly, I consider myself a huge advocate of the OTF brand.

However, I have had some concerns recently regarding the organization at my studio (West Loop). I’m a founding member who goes usually 5-6 times per week and in the 13 months my studio has been open, the amount of turnover not only with coaches, but front desk staff, has not gone unnoticed.

It’s very evident that West Loop has lost a HUGE amount of talent, starting with Gene leaving in the spring, followed by Dana in the fall and very shortly thereafter, Katie. These departures were communicated with the clientele except for Katie’s, about which I still have not received a direct answer from staff. Having been a regular in Katie’s classes since the very beginning, I find it hard to believe that she would have just left the members without so much as an announcement or a goodbye. I actually sought her out on social media and found out she is working at the Wicker Park location. I would never leave West Loop, as I love that studio and the members and it’s super convenient for my work/home. However, I may specifically go to Wicker Park at some point for a class with Katie. That’s how much I value the specific coaches.

The reason I’m sharing this is because I care so much for OTF and my West Loop studio. I’ve shared before how much OTF has meant to me personally and all I want is to see my home studio succeed. On the other hand, as a member, I have experienced some stress lately with the lack of continuity with the staffing. I know the studio must have its reasons, but why not give more classes to Jennifer, Mike, and Shayne? Why hire all new people and bring on subs from other studios? Jennifer, Mike, and Shayne are all awesome coaches and beloved by members. Wouldn’t OTF value continuity in a time of change?

Anyways, my point is that I’d like to see more continuity at my studio with regards to staffing. I mean, the coaches are our main motivators, and if they change week-to-week it can have an effect on members’ personal health journeys. There are OTFs popping up all over Chicago, and with the ease of public transit in our city, I can see members going more actively to different studios in favor of certain coaches. I love West Loop so much and want to continue seeing it succeed. In my opinion, I would love to see more classes from Shayne, Jennifer, and Mike rather than having to get familiar with all new coaches. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions - I’m always happy to provide feedback.

I like the variety and not knowing what's ahead in class. That piece drives me to push myself much harder than I would if I knew what was ahead.

I also like when the certain instructors take the time to find a solid playlist and where they work to encourage us in the moment. Nothing worse than a playlist on repeat with a robotic instructor who says the same thing each class. It makes all the difference!
