My son was in Kindergarten he was really struggling to read all school year. He hated reading and everything to do with reading and writing. We had him tested on June 6, 2021 we were told he was behind. June 21, 2021 he started his 3 times a week for 1 hours tutoring now it July 23, 2021 my son sounding words, spells word and read books and he enjoy it on top of that. Still a working process, however, we are very impressed with Sylvan of Columbia and very proud of our son. So happy we were told from a dear friend about Sylvan.

My daughter loves going to Sylvan and enjoys her tutors. She shares that her tutors treat her kindly and she enjoys being in an environment where other children are learning. Attending Sylvan is a treat for her. She works hard to earn the incentives and feels satisfied when she saves a lot of points. Her confidence has grown significantly.
Due to the pandemic my daughter lost being in a structured learning environment. Although we tried home schooling, teleworking and teaching a five year old was not an equal substitute to what she had in preschool. This resulted in her being below reading level as we tried to prepare her for kindergarten. She was just learning how to read when she started Sylvan. She lacked confidence and only knew a few sight words. Now she looks forward to reading at home and trying more complicated words. With all the progress she has made, she will be well prepared to enter kindergarten and advancing her reading level. We are so proud of her and grateful for Sylvan's tutors. The center is a great place for learning.
Very helpful, friendly and focused on creating a program that motivates each child. My daughter has so much fun there and looks forward to it each week.
I’m only a month in, however I am pleased so far. My child needs the face to face interaction while learning and he doesn’t mind going to his sessions.
