I have been staying fit and increasing strength at the Exercise Coach (the "EC") since late 2007... Twenty Minutes Twice a Week will get you back in shape, improve health and will keep you fit! The knowledgeable EC trainers pre-plan the routines and work with you one-on-one by appointment in a semi-private gym setting. They focus on strength, cardio and, if you want, nutrition too. It is an ideal exercise program for Clients of all ages!

To get the most out of the EC "all" you need to do is show up well-nourished and physically ready to put 100% into the 20 minute work-outs (then eat responsibly the rest of the week). I have never been injured exercising with the EC. The trainers know you and what your body can do. If you have an injury they will work with you so you can keep fit while recovering. Another aspect is they can tailor your workout to prep for an upcoming event. For me that was skiing: It had been a while so they prepared a focused workout and my 50+ year old legs took on the slopes like I was a kid!

In conclusion as long as you do your part this approach to exercise does work! There is no quick fix for getting back in shape but Twenty Minutes Twice a Week at the EC will get you there... and faster than you think! And once you are "there" the program will keep you fit, increase strength and maintain good health. The EC way does work for Clients of all ages! No fooling!

I’ve been working out at the Exercise Coach for over 7 years. I started this exercise program when I was 67, when I notice my friends struggling to get out of a chair or their car. I didn’t want to end up that way myself so I decided to do something about it. I also was developing a pronounced curve in my back (heredity from my parents), and my doctor suggested a ridicules and dangerous operation, or strength building exercise to curb the situation. Now at age 74 I have great energy, jump out of chairs without a struggle and can lift and carry a 40 bottle case of water from Costco with ease. My exercise program with the Exercise Coach also stopped the progression of my back problem without surgery.

The biggest realization of my good physical condition came when a family member needed a kidney transplant, and I decided to donation one of my mine. Before I could be accepted I needed to go through extensive medical tests to determine if a man my age (70 at the time) would be a suitable donor. The tests were conducted at Mayo Clinic. After going through a week of grueling tests, I came up as totally acceptable. The doctors who reviewed my case told me I have the physical condition of a man 20 years younger. The extensive stress-test they gave me, which included echo cardiograms and a treadmill, showed perfect heart condition, and I was able to reach 129% Functional Aerobic Capacity (FAC) without raising a sweat. The personalized attention to detail in making sure you use the machines in the best way possible to benefit your fitness strength is incomparable. Also, should you have any kind of injury, the trainers always know how to work around it or help you strengthen it.

The trainers are attentive, extremely nice and always push you to go the extra mile. In addition I love the increase in new routines and exercises compared to the past. For me the 20 minutes required are complimentary to my work/life balance which I love.

I like all of the trainers. Everyone is supportive. I like being pushed but not to the point where it will hurt me. I like the flexibility as well. I enjoy going to work out as I know it is a short timeframe and I have a time which makes me commit. Then when I leave I am always surprised it is over.
