Member Testimonials
There is variety of activities that all of my family can participate in. My kids have taken karate, participated in camp, soccer, dance. They grew up taking swimming lessons at the Y, attended preschool at the Y, etc. We love the weight and cardio machines, group ex classes.
I enjoyed all aspects of the camp this summer for my daughter. The Director Brandon was very responsive and helpful anytime I had questions. The staff was very nice and my daughter loved her counselors. We are excited for her to return next year.
Plenty of activities for the kids!
Our daughter loved all of the opportunities to swim at camp. Her counselors, and all of the team, were always super upbeat and engaging. We felt very comfortable dropping her off each day to their care.
My daughter really enjoyed summer camp. The counselors and Brandon were all very responsive and helpful.
The pools are the best.
I enjoy the Silver Sneakers class with excellent instructors that keep me motivated to exercise.
Fit Lite fior Seniors
Variety of programs and instructors
The instructors are all very nice and knowledgeable. There is a decent spread of levels of difficulty throughout the classes.
I like the variety of classes and that there is enough equipment for everyone taking the class.
The people that play beginners pickleball are so friendly and such a nice group of people. I enjoy other group exercises including yoga, strength lite and zumba. I am also looking forward to the new E GYM machines and being trained on them.
All the instructors care about their classes.
Programs and activities are appealing to all ages.
There are multiple ways to exercise. The facility is very clean. Friendly Staff
Best pool. Best Lap swim friendly.
Bodycombat and yoga and group exercise and instructors
My kids have enjoyed camp at WCAY so much this summer. My daughter went from a struggling red band at the beginning to a green band in her final week and my son is ready to be a counselor in training! The staff at this camp have been absolutely wonderful the entire summer!!
Great teachers
I thought the video game bus was so different and we don't let our son play video games at home so he was so excited when he came home that day. It was great!
We also liked the swimming option in the morning, which was why I originally chose the Y as summer camp. I had never been there but it looks awesome from afar and on a hot summers day seemed great. My son thought the indoor pool was great too.
My son doesn't tell you much so I'm not totally sure what they did all day but one of the best things that came from the experience was he made a friend and that was really special.
He also was camper of the week twice!! And we were really proud of him and celebrated at home. I thought that was a nice program too.
Wonderful, fun camp for kids in any age group. I would definitely recommend it.
My daughter really enjoyed the summer camp.
Always fun and staff is caring! Never did I hear a complain about going!
The daily / weekly activities were age appropriate and the guests performers or on-site field trips were great
Everyone handled the kids well, even took time to help kids with behavioral issues. I felt confident that my child would still experience a important part of childhood even though he struggles in social skills. He came out having had made friends with only a few minor incidents.
The kids had such a good time at Summer Camp
Kids loved the variety of activities and freedom to decide at certain points of the day what they wanted to do.
Consistency.
I like knowing I have Zumba on Mon, Tue and Thur (even SAt. and Sun). We do miss the pre-pandemic instructors: Cynthia, Pattie, especially. And since Kelly 'retired', it hasn't been the same. Betsy and Suchada are enthusiastic and getting better all the time, but it's just not the same. After a class with Jen or Jorge, you leave smiling and thinking: "That was fun!" After the other instructors, you leave thinking: "At least I got some exercise today." I'm still glad I went (at least most nights). It's hard to explain -- but the vibe is just very different. Grace, who subbed for Jen last night (8/22), is also new, but she's excellent. She's on the Lionville schedule, and sometimes I go there--even though it's 3 times farther from my house--because it's more fun.
I do wish there were more after-work Yoga classes -- since we lost our Sat 11:45 class, I'm missing my weekly stretch.
Great assortment of classes, something for everyone. Professional and talented instructors. Family friendly spirit at the Y.

The kids were active and engaged all day. It sounds like there was a set program but there was some flexibility for kids if they wanted to do something different. For example, swim time available but able to do an alternate activity if not wanting to swim.
Gaga ball was a favorite for my 2 kids.
From a program perspective, I felt the kids were in a safe environment with good oversight. Camp would reach out if any issues or injuries and leadership always timely to any questions or inquiries.
A very positive experience all around and my kids already want to go back next year.
