Because of the horrible haircuts in the Longmont/Boulder area of Colorado, I started to cut my own hair and did it for years. Not that the barbers here were bad, they were not familiar with a simple man's hair cut from the 50s and 60s...
Last fall I decieded to give going to the barbers another shot. I went to Sports Clips. Glad I did,
I was given a stylist named Nikki. She fixed the mess I had made cutting my own hair, but actually understood what I was trying to tell her... that being, I want it cut like the men wore their hair in the 40s and 50s... combed back, .....seams so simple... they all kept cutting the hair around the crown real short, so if your hair is combed back, following the shape of your head, it reaches the crown area and becomes flat....in the old days, that was just called a bad hair cut. Now its the style... ( I get it, I was an original hippie in 1965 with shoulder length hair.)
So styles changed, and I did not...I was assigned to a stylist whose name is Nikki... She knew exactly what I was trying to explain, and then over the course of a few visits, fixed all the bad cuts I had made, and earlier barbers, and for the first time in years, I really like the way my
hair looks....Nikki is an artist with shears and a comb . She has a great eye for knowing how to cut your hair in context to the shape of your head.......She is the reason I will continue to go to Sports Clips.... ed
She did a great job but printer wasn't working so receipt was to be emailed.

My boys usually get really thorough good haircuts… This last one wasn’t so, but I won’t go back to this particular girl. I didn’t like my son‘s haircut. It was uneven and his ear was clipped… I’m still not happy with it! I had to come home and try to fix it myself.
I felt very comfortable being able to say I wanted to try different lengths of hair (starting long and working in). Typically I feel like I am wasting the hair dressers time and being annoying when I ask to start longer and go shorter. However my hairdresser, Nikki, was very sweet and helpful, making sure that I felt like I was getting exactly what I wanted even though I asked her to go shorter than we had started. She also did a great job cutting my hair and was very talkative making it an overall great experience.
