She went from someone who disliked maths and struggled with it to actually doing really well in pre- calculus.
I would highly recommend Mathnasium.
The program is great in that an assessment is completed by the child and provides feedback to which Math areas have gaps. The child's binder is then created and they work on the pages on their own with "multiple tutors" walking around the centre to help out at any time. My daughter was loving it up until they closed for Covid-19 but now that the Winnipeg centre is opening up again we plan to visit very soon and keep working all summer towards closing the gaps.
My daughter struggles with math more than any other subject. Being in grade 10 when math gets more difficult and parents have little knowledge of the material we are not very helpful. I liked Mathnasium because they assisted her with her homework and based on her assessment, worked through material she should fully understand up to grade 10. Going through the assessment was an eye opener, some areas in math she was a grade level 5. The school system has not helped my daughter in the areas she needed the most but Mathnasium helped her gain the skills and knowledge she was missing from school.

My daughter enjoyed the tutors at mathnasium, they were attentive and thorough, and always tried a new way of explaining if she wasn’t understanding a concept. They checked on her often (rather than her sitting there having to ask for help which is important if kids are shyer). They got her through her Pre-Cal 11.
My child was behind in math but mathnasium helped her gain skills and confidence.
The staff at Mathnasium are very helpful. They took a subject my daughter was struggling with and made it her strongest subject. I would recommend this service to anyone who wants their child to excel at math.

We used mathnesium during the summer of 2018. Our daughter immediately felt comfortable and gained so many new skills and clarification. We often refer to things learned from her time at mathnesium. We feel it will be a summer tradition to help her build up readiness for the following year.
